I've transferred to you... Maybe you cam combine the information and add it to your photo memorial and transfer the old one back to me and I'll delete?????

Sorry about the snow. Sister Sue from Osseo was in Madison helping her daughter getting ready to move to Alanta GA - They woke up to snow there, too and had rain and sleet on their drive back to Osseo to find new snow there, too.

Maybe spring may arrive this year - and hopefully before July when I'll be there for a month.

Take care.

Old Catholic Cemetery - Trempealeau WI
James,

I'm going to be in Trempealeau, Wisconsin from Oct 9 through Oct 13 and intend to spend as many good weather days as I can, out at the old cemetery.

I have a new Excel spreadsheet developed to include data from the Old Catholic Cemetery (OCC) database, Brian Lightfoot's 2001 survey and your entries and grave marker photo's on this Find A Grave site. I want to see if it is correct with the actual cemetery while I'm up there.

I am meeting with the church secretary on Tuesday (Oct 9) to see if I can match up the 22 "moved" entries in the OCC database with burials at the new cemetery. Once I am sure the remains have been moved, there is no need to keep their entry in the new Excel spreadsheet. Once I get back from the Trempealeau trip, I will upload the spreadsheet to this Find A Grave site.

I can't remember where you live but would sure like to meet with you one day next week. I will check my "dale.ebersold@gmail.com" eMail while I'm up there but if you have a phone contact I can reach you, please eMail me.

Some improvements up there I'm pondering:

Weather-proof bulletin board inside the cemetery with the plot map and listing of known burials.

Visitors book inside the cemetery kept inside a rural mailbox marked "please sign in."

Row identifiers (landscape logs with metal row numbers) placed at the foot (south end) of each row for better identification.

There is an unpaid volunteer mower out there but the place really needs a group spring and fall group clean up. I intend to get a May 19-25, 2013 Group Spring Clean Up Project announced in the LaCrosse & Winona newspapers next year in early May.

I'd also like to see an Old Catholic Cemetery Association formed so anyone interested will be able to contact one another. I can get free webspace for an "OCC Association" website through Rootsweb/Ancestry.com.

Later . . . .

Added Photos to Tamarack
Hi James,

I added more pictures to Tamarack Cemetery (Trempealeau County). If you want to list to check them out, let me know and I'll send you the list. I sent you some edit suggestions just to get your opinions on some dates or names that seem to differ. Also, there are a couple of markers with Piderson instead of Peterson. So, I'm wondering if they are supposed to be the same. I added a photo for Pauline Peterson, but her name is spelled Piderson on the stone.

Old Catholic - Tempealeau
Notice you've done photos for the Old Catholic Cemt. in Trempealeau. I've redone the map/chart of the lots and a question - did you do the entire cemetery? It looks rather scattered out from your photos.
Anyway, send me an email: seidelman@aol.com and I'll forward the chart to you.
Hope it's cooled down back there - I left at the end of July and it was still in the 100's. Now it's that here in LA!!!
We did finish photographing the Lincoln Cemt. in Whitehall - plus finished two more books which are now in the Osseo Library. They say they've had lots of calls and visitors looking at the cemetery books (26 now)since the Leader-Telegram did the story on Sue and me.
Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
Jim
