San Antonio National Cemetery Photo offer
Laura --

I would be delighted for you to post a photo for this memorial -- http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=170004573

Many thanks for contacting me and I fully understand about the misspelled surname -- it happens all time!

Best wishes!
Dallas

Thank you for the correct information Laura. His daughter went to the services but was mistaken on location! It was a long trip.

Bexar Co. GAG photos
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vermont. I have discovered three such soldiers in Bexar County, which you have contributed photo's for their Find A Grave memorial pages. There may be others I haven't found yet. I am asking you if I may use your photo's of these Vt. men, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

Soldiers referred to; Charles Capron; John Kinehan, and George B. Weber.

You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

I most appreciate ~ ~

the heads-up on where exactly Earnest Lee Gold was buried (in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery rather than in San Antonio National Cemetery), and now the memorial - 146902054 - has been placed in the Fort Sam cemetery as well.

RE: Otto Newman
Thank you for the beautiful pictures of my Great Grandfather's tombstone! Having been to several National Cemeteries around the world, I was surprised to see the variety of headstones surrounding Otto Newman's grave. Traditionally, all the headstones are exactly alike and most contain a cross for Christians and the Star of David for Jews. Do you know the history behind this tradition?
