Bio Photo First and foremost... Many thanks to the two interpreters that have been a tremendous help: Nicholas Maskalick and Frank Klawonn

Our Motto: No Cemetery too big, no Cemetery too small, if we can't find a marker, it's not there at all!
We, the genealogist and the photographer, really enjoy being volunteers for Find-a-Grave. It is very gratifying to be helping others and making new friends. Also, it is enjoyable seeing the earlier generation's monuments, crypts and markers.
We are a retired military family (USMC). After over 22 years we settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. Charlie is from Tennessee, Mary grew up in Pittsburgh. (Mary won the tossup.)
Thanks to all for the great responses of our findings. They are the icing on the cake!

John Grayson
I'm working on a volume of grave locations for veterans of the USCT. Could I have your permission to use the picture you posted of John Grayson's grave in this compilation? I will cite you as the source.

Thank you.

Clara Martin Evans
I just wanted to send a quick thank you for the transfer of Clara Martin Evans. It was quite a pleasant surprise this afternoon!

Please let me know if you find any other Evans' in Union Dale.

Payne Pounds
Thank you very much for posting the Payne Pounds obit. We've just come across this distant relative and are anxious to learn more about him. Do you know anymore than is in the obit? Do you know when his wife (Elizabeth) died and where she's buried? We've requested a photo of the grave and asked the photographer to tell us if she's buried near him.

The little we know about him right now strongly suggests he was an orphan. We picked him up on the 1850 census for Beaver Co. PA. He's double listed, first with the Robert French family as Pinney Pounds and again with the Isaac Lozier family as William Payne. His sisters Mary and Elizabeth Pounds are listed with the same Lozier family.

Thank you
I am an Ekas family member and I am glad you have him and his wife current. It helps me out on the Ekas family line I am working on.

Walter Monaghan
Mary and Charlie! Thanks for the picture of his obituary. Walter was an interesting man. A Professional Boxer, Chief of Detectives in Pittsburgh, then Sheriff of Allegheny County. We have multiple family scrapbooks of his "adventures", and are trying to condense into a meaningful biography that we can post. Thanks again for your contribution!
