Bio Photo Something I forgot to add, I am always on the lookout for unusual names, have added quite a few that are the only one listed, which is hard to do on here.I also wanted to tell everyone , many thanks for the updates, corrections, add on articles etc, and apologize for never writing back and saying it is done..I will always do the edit, but do not write everybody to let them know I did..I get so many edit requests, and do not mind doing them at all...Thanks again....I live in Baton Rouge La.Though I have listings in many states, most are within a days drive on my home.I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, it is like a treasure hunt, and I like knowing I am helping a loved one connect in some small way.I love driving back roads and finding cemeteries in the middle of nowhere.I add veterans of most all the wars,as a small tribute to those that have shaped our country. But I have a special affinity for the guys of World War II.These soldiers are the reason today we are a free country and we are losing them at a rate of over 1100 a day.Take time out to thank them .And then there are the ones that reach out and for whatever reason touch me.I also seek any family last names, such as Cox,Cover,Vaughn.I usually enter the info directly from the grave marker, but will add any info requested. If any errors are found please let me know and I will correct.I do find such peace and love and sadness while walking these sites. Also every one of these I have entered I actually walked the cemetery. Therefore a little more personal to me. Please if you are new on here, we do welcome you, but be respectful of the rules and regulations.I want to apologize for all my errors. When I first started entering graves 11 years ago, i wrote the info down and transferred it, many times it was raining or I just could not understand my writing. Later years I add from a picture usually. So please forgive my early attempts

Curtis D Smith
Hello Bobby,

Thank you for locating, photographing and posting your photo of Curtis's marker. I greatly appreciate your time and effort. Curious if wife Naomi was nearby?

Kind regards,
Ken -

Thanks Bobby, I found three entries for him, and thanks for your searching; I'm asking f.a.g. to delete the 2 in Port Hudson.

Bobby, you have no idea how special your act is to me. I have not been to my father's grave since the day he was buried there. I was 16 years old at the time and 3 months prior had moved to Baton Rouge from Charleston SC after deciding I'd rather live with my dad. My dad was teaching me to play golf when he fell victim to a heart attack. I was devastated and in a daze and remember very little afterwards until the day of his funeral. The very next day I was on my way back to Charleston with my mom and brother, and I have never returned. Not that I didn't want to... I just never got the chance. Now, thanks to you, I finally get to see his marker. I also used to be so sad for him because he was all alone out there with no one to visit him, but you have managed to take that away from me, because I somehow know that in you he has a friend now. Please, next time your out his way would you tell him that I love him and miss him everyday still? You're an angel here on earth Bobby and you forever have my gratitude and respect.

Lieut. John Gibson "Pete" Dutton
Thanks, Bobby,
It looks great! Somewhere I have the obituary for his wife, Jane Kerr Evans Dutton (also your Memorial). When I find it, I'll send it to you the same way so you can add it to your Memorial for her.

Thanks so much for adding the information on my Uncle Pete's birth and death information and for including his middle name and nickname on your Memorial for him. I have a copy of his obituary and I'm sure it was in the Advocate (Baton Rouge), but I don't know the date. If you're interested I can provide you with a copy.

Yes, I can confirm that is grave site is in Auburn cemetary, Clark County. He was the son of Beulah and Bahn Thompson. He was a first cousin of my mother. Why are you interested. Are you family or a friend of Ernest. He was always missed.
