Fernand A. "Fred" Jodoin, 79, Bradenton, died Dec. 3, 2003. He was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Burlington, Vt., and came to Bradenton in 1953 from New York. He retired as a plumber from Tropicana. He was a member of VFW Post 2488 in Palmetto. He was an Army veteran of World War II and participated in the Normandy Invasion. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda McLean of Bradenton; a son, Ralph of Bradenton; sisters Lilliane and Theresa, both of Massachusetts and Rita, Laurette and Madeleine, all of Vermont; brothers George, Paul and Richard, all of Vermont; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 6-8pm today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel. The service will be at 11am Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, Bradenton. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL or the American Cancer Society, 600 US 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, FL. Elva Lynn Jordan, 87, Bradenton, died March 18, 2004. She was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Canada and came to Bradenton in 1985 from Palisades Park, NJ.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Ontario, Canada, the International Society of Poets and Unity Church, Bradenton.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony T.; a daughter, Jennifer J. Williams of Bradenton; a son, Jeff of Port Charlotte; a sister, Margaret L. Speck of Drexelville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30pm Monday, with services to follow, at Bradenton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens. Hello, I just wanted to inform you that Ida is still alive and her maiden name was not Moses. Moses was the name of her first husband. Ida is my Brothers and Sisters Grandmother. Her memorial number is 116804725.
