James Evans

I would appreciate any information you have on either James Evans or James A Evans - they are my great and great-great grandfathers. I am having trouble finding information on them.

Thank you

Josepha Carrillo Fitch
Hi Glenn -

I am Josepha Carrillo Fitch's 3rd great grand daughter and have found your information on her on Find a Grave. I do know where she is buried and also have pictures. Is it possible for me to update your site for her or what is the next step?

Hi Glenn, I added a photo to Claude Peoples (Sr). I saw your note on his memorial and thought you might be family.

Rebecca Nichols Coleman
I am looking for information on how Rebecca is connected to the Davidson Family in Clay County, mo. I am restoring the family graveyard and find nothing to indicate that Rebecca was part of this family. I have not found Rebecca on any family documents.
Could her being listed in the Davidson family cemetery be a mistake?
Thank you,
Diane Davidson

Coleman ancestry
From your many find a grave memorials, I must conclude that we are related. I thought I would share a couple of facts with you that I have gleaned. First off, the Coleman cemetery is in Muhlenberg County, not Ohio County Kentucky. I know, I've been there and seen the graves. I was taken there by a Coleman cousin who still lives in Muhlenberg County. It's in the middle of former Coleman land, now owned by the coal company.
Second, Rebecca who married Beverly SR - her maiden name was definitely Nicholson. She was the daughter of Abel Nicholson and his wife Abigail. She is in his will in Wilkes County, NC Will Book 4, pages 153-154. His will was probated July 1832. They are in the Wilkes County marraige records as well.
On another subject, can you tell me your sources for the parentage of Charles Coleman's wife? You have it to be Percival (sp?) Campbell, but how did you determine that? I haven't been able to find a will to confirm.
My great grandfather was James Herrod Coleman, Beverly Jr's son.
Thanks for any help/ suggestions you can provide.

RE: looking for info./photos of my grandpa, george jessie Elmore
Dear Glenn, I was so pleased to find your reply . . . I have pictures and info. of the Elmores that you may like to have. My mother was an Elmore. . . her name is Doris E. Johnson. She took me to see "Aunt Carrie and Aunt Mandy" when they were both old and staying in a rest home. I am 51 now and that was back when I was probably 10. I have been helping my mom study the Alexanders and Dagenharts from the Stony Point, N.C. area. Her daddy was an Elmore and her mother an Alexander/Dagenhart. I am interested in any photos or info. you may have on the Elmores. Mom would love anything I find. It has been fun to help her and I'm learning so much. I love the history. Mom was the daughter of George Jessie and Thelma A. Elmore . . . her siblings were Ray, Cleo, and Shirley Elmore. I hope we can trade info. and especially photos. Mom's mother died when mom was 12 so she would love to find pictures of her. Much Thanks, Carol dornan Taylorsville, N.C.
