I've been to Collins cemetery and could not find any Courtneys there but I also went to another cemetery in Collins. Baker-Gaster has many of the ones you have requested. It has been a little confusing as the sign posted says it is Courtney cemeterty. The Drew County Index book has a few printing errors but has them listed as being in Baker-Gaster in the name index but has them listed in Collins under the cemetery list. Confused yet? anyways I thought you would like to know.

Sorry, my father's family came originally from Minnesota to Ogden, Iowa
|Marilyn Smith||William Peers|
I am just going to transfer this one to you.
I created it because I found it in an old manuscript written by Mildred Herrin on the Mt Olivet and other churches close by.
|Marilyn Smith||William Peers|
Did you want me to put all of that as a bio of William Peers?
Just checking, I am glad to do it but sometimes I miss the obvious.
|Colleene Steele||Charles Edmund Donham|
I noticed that one of Charles and Hattie's children was missing.

I am not really sure where the Abner came from. I usually have documentation such as a death certificate to support that sort of information When I go back to work on Tuesday I will see if I can locate a death certificate or obituary to solve the mystery!
|Nancy Yankie Sidarous||RE: Mary Jane Erwin Yankie|
I have ended up just getting a money order and my info together on both of Jonathan William Yankie's wives as I can find neither one. I talked to the reference/research dept at Hinds County Library in Jackson and they are going to try to help me.
If I find anything you'll send it up eventually! There should be a Death Cert for Brunette, but not for Mary Jane Erwin (d. 1903) as they weren't available until after 1912.
I hope you're doing well. You've really contributed a LOT as I'm seeing your name everywhere I research! I wish I could make a trip there to look for myself but as long as I'm taking care of my 92 year old Mother that's not going to happen.
All the Best - Nancy Yankie

I will certainly check Memphis! I have found someone I've been looking for a very long time. Sadly though, in the Old Ladies Home in Jackson. So not necessary as she was the widow of a rather well-to-do landowner, my great grandfather. So now I search for what could be a pauper's grave.
I've emailed the Home bad am starting there. She's his second wife so apparently was simply cut out of the estate Ashe had died in 1915 and I found her still alive in 1930. I don't really know what happened n
Yes, burials are not always on the Death Cert and are sometimes even wrong if the family changes/doesn't agree on the burial spot. But I just check everywhere I can.
Thank you for the suggestion on Memphis. There sure are a bunch of Erwin's! I'm related to the Hortons and believe I've run down Marylou in Virginia Beach. She's a cousin --probably to you as well!
|Nancy Yankie Sidarous||JOSEPHINE RACHEL ERWIN MANSFIELD|
Thank you so very kindly for this transfer; and of course I understand completely your retaining William. I have vast amount of letters and documents as my Grandmother left me 4 trunks full plus more and I'm gradually going through it. If I find anything, even the smallest tidbit I will let you know.
One of the sisters of Josephine, Mary Jane Erwin Yankey(Yankie) is my Great Grandmother. Another of her sisters married into my family but I don't have that information in front of me right now. I have everything on Mary Jane and beyond but can not find her burial place though I believe it to be in Yazoo County. She died in March 1963 if my information is correct. I would appreciate anything you can share with me in that regard. I have her family and spouses, etc. going back 2-3 more generations but this burial site has me stymied. She went back to MS and I've searched where both Yankey/Yankies and Erwins related to her are buried with no luck. Of course I'm in Texas!
Thank you so very much!
Nancy Yankie Sidarous
