My greatest passion in life is genealogy and family history. It all started in the 80s when my birth mother decided she wanted to know her roots. She now knows first hand and the mystery of her mother's genealogy is still a mystery to me.|
I do not have a camera so headstone photos are not an option but I am willing to help others where possible. In addition to my own direct lines, I support my extended family members in their quest for knowledge.
Family names I am actively researching: HALL, VAN SCOY, PEOPLES/PEEBLES, DeBERRY, BAKER, MARTIN, DONAHUE, BENNION, LEHNER, VALENTINI/VALENTINE, CIFERNI, BROWN, KNAM, STEWART, THORNTON, DAVIDSON, GAY, BARGER, BOLLING (and variations), MONK, FREDIANI, La CHANCE, and the list goes on and on.
PET PEEVE (borrowed from a friend): Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". Shame on you!

|Terry Rice||RE: BEALL family|
There was an article that I ran across while doing some research, it may have been more than a year ago, but when you are searching records 100's of years old...that seems pretty recent.
I'll see if I can find the link and post it here.
I believe that some teenagers got in and turned over a number of headstones.
Oh wow...this says 2006! I'm sure the one I saw was more recent.
My grandmother was Mattie Beall Garner / Diffee. I remember her speaking of the Brannon's and I believe telling me at one time she and my mom stayed with them for a while.
I'm sure I will be in touch again. I'm diving back into my research after losing years of work a couple of years ago.
Thanks for all your hard work! Just wondering how you are connected to Samuel A. and Ella Carson Beall? I noticed you had left flowers on the page where their stone is pictured. They are my great grandparents. I was unaware that the Cemetery had been so badly vandalized recently but just started back on my research (lost everything - long story). Although I do make a small contribution to Bayou Meto, I guess I should get out there and check things out!
I look forward to your reply!

I made the correction you suggested. Thank you for catching my error. Are you by some chance related to them? If so I would love to transfer them to your care. Blessings Jo

Good morning Sir/Ma'am. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Forest Home Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.
Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772
Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck! Ace

Forest Home is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials, and the information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Forest Home disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request.
From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.
Mission Success: Last year I successfully completed 200 photo missions at Forest Home Cemetery that had the grave location provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year I have successfully concluded over 1,400 photo missions with over 600 already successfully completed in 2014.
Mission Failure: Impossible
