I am a direct descendant of Jean Baptiste Menegay and Victoria Gladieux; through their son Edward Menegay, his daughter Wilda Menegay Dudley; and then my mother Carolyn Dudley Masterson. All are buried in St. Louis Cemetery, Louisville, Stark, Ohio. I get back to Louisville at least once a year and I stop by the cemetery to take photos of the tombstones and then post them on findagrave. Recently, I have also been researching the Dwyer and Maudru families of Stark County. They are collateral families of the Menegays and Gladieux.|
I also continue to research my Masterson ancestors. The line begins with John Masterson, Revolutionary War patriot born near Fredricksburg, VA; then moved on to PA and KY. His descendants moved on to Ohio, Indiana, & other points west.

Thank you for your work on Frances J and Eleonore Ballay. It is odd that she has a stone but he does not.
I live in Calif so cannot look, but also we are pretty sure the mothers of these two must be right there too. Frances J's mother was Scholastic Gillet (not sure of either spelling), born 1785 in France, died after 1870 census in Nimishillen Twp. You have on your Menegay side mentioned a Gillot.
Eleonore's mother was Collett, born 1792 in France, died 16 Jan 1875.
Possibly next time you go, you could look.
