My wife and I have been married for the past 30 years. We are retired and enjoy collecting antique glassware from the early 1900's. I became aware of Find A Grave and wanted to volunteer. I appreciate how important it is to have a gravestone picture to help complete the story of your ancestors. I want to make that happen for many other people. I've also rediscovered that I like photography.|
If you want me to transfer a memorial to you, just be related to that person, and DON'T FORGET TO USE THE EDIT BUTTON, that's all. If I'm related, too, I may keep them. I'm not going to get uptight about transferring. Happy Volunteering.

Steve, thank you so very much for all of the information on obtaining a photo of Elmer's headstone.
I had never heard of a cemetery running people off like that.. geez.
I actually am a family member. If I need to, I will drive down there, I have no aversion to taking a gorgeous drive down there from Santa Cruz.
It's too bad they are like that, I wonder what happened there that they feel that is an appropriate approach.
I have several family members in San Jose at Oak Hill Memorial Park. I have found that the headstone that are in ground, not stand up headstones are ones that are forgotten and photographed and recorded on Find A Grave, so I have started working on those now so others can find their family/ancestors.
Thanks for letting me know, very appreciated!

I transcribed this graveyard from the Calloway County Cemetery Book from 1981. Sorry I have no idea if anyone has pics.

Thank you for your suggestions. I may have my cousin try since they are relatives on his grandmothers side. Thank you for going above and beyond for helping with my request. Happy hunting I didn't take this up till after my oldest brother died in 2001. He loved doing genealogy. I wish I had been interested back then but I was busy raising my family.

Thank you for taking the time to try a get the photo for me. I will try to find out what the problem is. I appreciate your help.
The Pettenger relatives are my cousins great grandparents.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate your reply and information about the cemetery. I surely wouldn't want to cause problems for anyone.

Steve, Thank you so much for your kindness. I didn't know they had a double marker and sent a second request for Bill then worried you'd end up with two trips. Glad it worked out! Thank you for volunteering. I went to SM High School class of '62. Happy New Year! Barbara
