Bio and Links
Bio Photo There have been a couple people who felt that taking my photos and reposting them on their Ancestry.com Family Tree without asking me if it is ok. It is NOT ok. It is in direct violation of Find-a-Grave copyrights http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=listFaqs#196.

If you are a cousin of any of my family and would like to have any of these photos for your private OFF LINE collection I give you permission now. But you must ask me permission with proof of your linage of being part of the family to post any of MY photos on any other web site, private tree or not.... the Internet is NOT as private as you think and we always find out. So please adhere to All Copyright Laws and Rules and ask before you take and repost. These photos on Find-a-Grave is accessible to everyone to see so therefore the photos do not need to be on any other web site. Use a link to these pages on any and all other sites you want people to see, just do not copy by downloading them and then upload them elsewhere. Link them.

Some of these family members have been recently deceased and it hurts to see others just take these photos without my permission and without crediting them to me.

I have been doing genealogical research on going since 2005 and have increased my ancestry list from about 100 to over 12,000. I have posted some of my family here to memorialize them. I add more information as it comes to me.

If you see any errors please let me know. I like things correct.

Thank You and Happy Family Searching!

re-photocopyright
Photographs are only copyrightable by the person who took them or the person they hired to take them. You can not copyright your ancestors photographs. And please stop sending rude messages to people when you are logged into my account at the Family History Center.

RE: Tombstones of David Shapley
Sorry if my message was confusing. The other stones in the area of Olive and her father David Shapley were so badly worn away, there was no inscription remaining on them to be seen. It would be my guess, because of their close proximity, that they most likely are the graves of other family members. This is a small cemetery, with no office on site. I do not know of any church it might be affiliated with, and will have to inquire as to whether there is a cemetery association in the town of Thompson to find out if there are any records from that far back. I have a hunch that the info we do have which lead you to discover them in this cemetery in the first place probably came from the Charles Hale Collection of cemetery inscriptions which was done in the early 1930s, and is available online.

RE: Tombstones of David Shapley
You are certainly welcome. I wish I could have been able to secure photos of the gravestones of his wife and the children. I believe they are all buried in very close proximity, as there were several other stones nearby, all completely worn away, except for that of Olive, which is already posted to her memorial. The others were all of a different type of material, not the slate that David and Olives were carved from. They almost looked like they were just carved from rock or stones that were in the area, as is the case with many markers of that vintage in this part of the country.
