Grandma Mac (Elizabeth Ella Kellogg MacFaddin) was the genealogist of the family. She got the "bug" from her father. She kept all her research in an old black suitcase. There were notes on all sorts of scraps of paper – the back of a grocery list, used envelopes and even a bank statement here and there. Her handwriting was neat and dainty. She would come down from Fresno and Daddy would drive her in to the Los Angeles Main Library to spend all day there working on her research. When she passed away in 1970 the suitcase was put away, until my sister took up the task in 1999, of sorting through all of Grandma's bits and bobs of information.|
I personally had no interest in genealogy. That is until 2008 when quite by accident, I found my Dad's name in another family tree. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots.
Back to Grandma Mac, wouldn't she just have a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: MacFaddin/McFaddin or McFadden, Boynton, Breed, Caldow, Clark, Cody, Higgins, Hiscock, Houghton, Kellogg, Rathermel, Sairs, Schuck and Wilder.

my grandmother, who is living in Poland, is so thankfull you have found the grave of her older sister Emilia Okonski (born Chmura in Poland)
# 117224547 and the whole family Okonski, who emigrated to California. The last contact was by the death notice my grandmother recieved in 1968.
I kindly wanted to ask, if there is a possibility to find out more about Emilia's children (two daughters named Bogumila and Malgorzata). We have a big family in Poland wondering, if they are still alive and how they are doing/where they live now.
We appreciate your work very much and would be very happy if you answer (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Hi Margi--are you, by any chance, Chuck and Marguerite Hotz's daughter? Please let me know if you see this. I am researching my genealogy, also. Thank you so much. Jann Keller Cook

Can you please remove the photo's you put on my Great Uncle's Memorial? Find A Grave #101712998 He is John Thomas Neville, and he died in 1970...he was recorded as being buried at this cemetery but I heard his ashes were spread over the ocean. Anyway, the date of the grave marker is wrong...thanks for trying to document his grave.
|Bill Cunningham||Thank You|
I just started doing some family research. I found that you had recorded my wife's grave site in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Not sure why you happened to include her in your documentation, but thank you very much for taking the time to do so.
|Boyd Weber||Matilda Schmitz Webber|
Margi: Could you transfer Matilda Schmitz Smith Webber to me so I could link her to her family in Ohio, I just found your record I had made a Find A Grave record 94450328 for Matilda, I did not know where she was buried until I found your record. My Find A Grave number is 47549442.
Thank You for your help Boyd Weber
Thank you for the quick transfer of the Woods family and bigger thanks for creating the memorial pages so I could even find them!
|Laura Hawkins||Irene Yeager Sweeney - Holy Sepulcher|
The memorial for Irene Yeager Sweeney #116756048 is a duplicate of the memorial you made for her in the Good Shepherd Cemetery. She isn't at Holy Sepulcher so can you please delete that memorial?
Thank you, Laura Hawkins
Would you please transfer 119122047 to me. The baby girl is my sister. She died the day she was born that is why there is only one date on the gravestone.

|H. Tracy Hall, Jr.||Opal B Sellers 120998486|
I have sent an edit deleting the relationship of Opal B Sellers 120998486 Josephine M Sellers 116280921 as her mother.
If Opal B Seller (1912-1974) were the daughter of Josephine Margaret Phillips (1896-1975), she would have born when J. was only 16, five years before J. married Rudolph Eugene Geiger (1894-1957), and 11 years before J. married Merrill Sellers (1898-1983).
Here is what is known about Josephine Margaret Phillips:
Pitts679 at Ancestry.com, in Pittman Family Tree, gives Opal's parents as James Sellers (1889-1945) and Josie May Baldwin (1894-1970). http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/13023522/person/1202715792
I have not been able to find these parents in Findagrave.
