I am comparably new to genealogy (2001) but have become a "junkie" very quickly. I live in the Seattle area where my family has lived for over 6 generations. |
I am researching: Smith, Ristine, Kipp, Ingersoll, Cunningham, Bishop, Bean, Moose, Platt and Golnick, as well as many other branches of these names. I have been blessed to have connected to many members of my family, who have been working on genealogy much longer than I have, and have been so generous to share their hard work with me, which has given me a great base to build upon.
I have been working with my Aunt Sharon ("sharon") since 2005, adding our shared genealogy to findagrave from my husbands side of the family, and have connected with so many generous volunteers all over the United States who have located and photographed family headstones for us. We both try to return the favor when ever we are asked to, and are so grateful to findagrave for this service, which has added so much to our research. We never would have been able to accomplish so much without findagrave, and the generous volunteers that are members.
Most of my entries are relatives. If you are too, I would love to hear from you and compare notes. Please include "findagrave" in subject line with any correspondance.

There are a few other Poores in Brooklawn. If you are interested in checking, go to the following website;
Enter the surname in the search engine, and it will bring up a list.
Let me know if you create any other memorials or make photo requests in Brooklawn. It is a well laid out memorial park, and I enjoy going there, so it was a pleasure to take these photos.

No Worries J. Bean,
I was happy that I could fill your requests.
|Peter Morgan||Poores in Brooklawn|
I am about to fulfil your request for a photo of the marker for Willis Poore. Nearby was a marker for his wife(?), Gertrude M Poore (8/2/1885-8/28/1977) as well as markers for Irene Lagerson Poore (5/14/1914-11/10/2003) & presumably her husband Harold Madison Poore (5/3/1915-6/16/2007). Possibly Harold was the son of Willis & Gertrude.
At any rate, I took photos of all the other markers. If you wish to create memorials for these folks and request additional photos, I will gladly claim them and immediately upload them.
Please let me know.

Thank You for the photo. My Dad brought the same picture here when he moved in with me. I kept meaning to put it on Ancestry.com but have not been doing much lately.I haven't got passed my GG Grandfather Charles H Poor(1844-1900). I am having trouble finding any kind of records on him until he shows up and marries my GG Grandmother Elizabeth M Irving (1857-1946). I have him born in Limington, York, Maine, also listed as Farmington, Franklin, Maine on their son Irving Walker Poor's birth records dated June 17 1892.Thank You once again for the picture.

Yes, I recently went to Minnesota and visited these plus more cemeteries. Still haven't gone thru all the photos. When I posted the Westenberger photos I didn't realize that you had requested photos. So that was a bonus for you!! HA.
I was sad to see that Allen Koethke had passed. I met him in the 1990s when I first started my Koethke genealogy. He and his wife built a beautiful home on his grandparents farm. They were a very nice couple.
I telephoned my father last night to wish him a Happy Fathers Day. I saw him every day last week.
