Blanche Markert - #119393331
Hi, Julie,

My suggestion edit tab is defective, so I have to communicate this way. Your memorial for Blanche is a dupe. Please see memorial #43117112. Would you mind moving your nice photo of her grave marker to the older memorial mentioned above? Many thanks!

Hi Julie

My name is John Matthews #48393548 and I am requesting that you transfer Conrad Gossman #82029491 and August J. Gossman #82029516 to me. Both men are my wife's Fathers Great grandfather and grandfather.I found a lot of information on this men and would like to add it to there memorials. Also John F. Gossman is not Conrad's son. His son is John E. Gossman and I have info on him and the rest of the family also. Thank you for all the work you do with Find-a-Grave.

Martin's wife is a relative of my husband. No need to transfer. Thanks very much for updating the bio section!

OK another link is on the FamilySearch web page
and this gives Frederick's mother's maiden name as Mary Ann Gunn and makes it certain that this was the Greatbatch family.

Hello again.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was just researching someone for a small article and came across the family on As I wrote to you I thought it was getting complicated. Best left as it is I think and sorry for troubling you. If a family member comes across it they may want to expand the detail in the future sometime.

All the best

Sorry to trouble you again. I think you have Frederick James Bristol's brother on your web site already so that is a start. (see 113238033).

The reference where they change their names is in the diaries of Thomas Butler Gunn who was their uncle. The reference page is to be found on

If you want more info I can get it to you on your email. Let me know.

Frederick James Bristol 113232437
Just found the grave you put on the system of Frederick James Bristol 113232437. He may actually be Frederick James Greatbatch. For some reason I have yet to discover the family changed their name to that of their grandmother Mary Bristol. I'm still trying to find the reason but will get back to you if I find why or if anyone else knows? His father probably was Joseph Greatbatch and mother Mary Anne Gunn. His great grandfather was a famous potter called William Greatbatch of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. He worked with Josiah Wedgwood. see:

photo request for Joseph Marietta
I believe this is really Joseph Manietta son of Anton and Rose Manietta and brother of Lawrence. The dates and parent given names match. If it is Joseph Manietta, he already has a Find A Grave memorial page.
