70 year old retired Navy Chief Petty Officer trying to keep active with my camera ..live in small town in Virginia... Tappahannock..It is very interesting doing this type volunteer work..number one I am a photography nut (have many published and bought) and number two..I love the 'history' we run across here in Virginia when on these 'missions'..I have photgraphed graves of the brother of George Washington (Augustine) at his plantation on the Potomac knowing that 'George slept there too' as well as the grave of movie actress and first wife of Henry Fonda (Maureen Sullivan)..the oldest stone I have located is 1698...that is even older than I am..grin|

Could you please send me the exact location of of the Purcell Family Cemetery in Oldhams, VA. I live near Oldhams. My great grandmother may be buried there, but Find a Grave doesn't list her. Another record indicated she is buried at her grandfather's cemetery. Her grandfather is Tobias Purcell, her father is Vincent Redman Purcell, and her name is Catherine Alice Purcell Bevis.
thanks for trying to find his grave

Thanks for the pic.

Thank you Bill for the photo of Eleanor T Clarke's grave marker. It's such a clear, wonderful picture.
I never really knew this lady, but I came across a letter she sent to me in the 90's asking me to pray for her concerning some health issues.
We briefly met in the bookstore of Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC when we took our son down there to attend college. She was checking out the school for her nephew.
After finding the letter this past week, I decided to look online to see if she still lived at her return address. That is when I found her obituary.
I plan on putting a copy of her obituary and picture of her marker together with the letter. (It won't mean a thing to my kids, but when the Lord takes me home, it won't matter.)
Thank you again.
Thanks for the pics.

Thanks so very much for the photo. Would you mind uploading the same for her husband? I've created the memorial.
All the best,

Thank you very much for the photo of Mr. Reid's headstone. I just went to my 45th high school reunion and saw his picture of him and it made me think of him. Thanks Again for your time.
