I discovered Find a Grave by accident soon after the death of our precious daughter, Marjorie. She was my first entry. I have added family members, friends, and others that I have no connection with but simply wanted to add them on these pages. I will have more of my family entered in the future. My wife and I are retired and we love it! I love riding the back-roads on my Harley and can't seem to ride past an old cemetery.....I love walking through them and find peace and quiet in them. Thanks so much to everyone that has placed notes, tokens, and have sponsored my memorials. God bless you all. |

|Anne Beckman||HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!|
THANKS TOM, for that beautiful, patriotic
message! I'd write more, but I'm so busy
being there for Bill!
Have a HAPPY JULY 4th!
See Ya Later, Alligator, ANNE

To My Dear Friend Tom, On Independence Day,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your wonderful message of
patriotism and support! Please keep Bill in
your prayers: he is fine, but gets grumpy at
being cooped up, inside the hospital.
Today was especially difficult, as he is such an
outdoorsy guy and today is the first gorgeous day
in ages...and July 4th! He wanted to mow the
lawn and have a BBQ and watch fireworks!
I pray you've been having FUN on your Harley
today, with (OF COURSE) the American flag!
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THOSE WHO KEEP IT FREE
AND SAFE...THANKS TO THOSE WHO GAVE ALL!
(I'm sure you noticed...there is an article on
the front page of THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR about
a man, I think from Indy (I have not read the
whole article yet) who enlisted in the navy...
only ONE MONTH LATER, he was dead, as he was on
the USS INDIANAPOLIS. His son and daughter are
honoring him. Also, a story of a man disfigured
in the Iraqi War, who has found a new life.
My husband is my life, so I must go back to him...
I'm picking up a salad for him and one for me, at
Steak & Shake. NO MORE JUNK!
We'll be watching A CAPITOL FOURTH, on PBS,
which just started. Maybe, you are, also?
SEE YA LATER, ALLIGATOR! HAPPY JULY 4th! ANNE
I wanted to thank you so much for your service. My dad was in the Air Force too.
It means so much to have people like you who are so full of patriotism for this country...it really makes me proud and thankful to be an American.
Thank you for keeping this country free...I salute you today.

Thank you so much. One of the reasons why I joined findagrave was to make a memorial for him...he really did have his whole life ahead of him and he was so close to coming home. He actually died because he was on a bridge that was set on fire; he died trying to save others who were trapped.
I agree. It was very much a war and a brutal one, too. My grandfather remembers his uncle Dick's funeral (he was, oh, ten at the time). He didn't fully grasp what was going on but he remembers how it was all very dark and sad. I grew up seeing his portrait in my grandparents house and they would always tell me "that's your brave great grand uncle Dick."
Anyway, thank you SO MUCH for visiting him; it really put a smile on my face. Happy Fourth of July. :)
I visited your daughter, by the way. She was lovely.

I just wanted to thank you for the kind note that you left on my great grand uncle Dick's memorial (Pvt. Richard Lamar Fisher). It really means a lot to me to know that he's remembered and appreciated.
