Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people.

I retired in 2007 from Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission, Lincoln, Nebraska. My husband retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and then from Nebraska Corrections. After our retirement, we moved to my hometown in south central Nebraska.

If you find any mistakes, want additional information or an obituary added, please send the suggestion through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.

If you are wanting a transfer please let me know your relationship; I don't follow the Find A Grave guidelines, but please let me know if it's a relative, close friend, classmate, etc. OR I will not transfer the memorial to you. If it is a relative of either my husbands or mine, I will also not transfer the memorial.

Edits should always have the source sent.

A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.

Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.

Families I have researched & continue to research:

My biological family = Hewgley, Glancy, Metz, Waterman, Lyman, Eley, Reed, Drennan/Drennon/Drenan/Drenon

Ring memorial
Peggy, the information I sent you to edit the William Ring and parents memorials came from, Who's Who in Nebraska - Thayer County. There is a lot more info there except the date William Ring died. Just to let you know.

Sophrona Ann (Padgett) Baker
I was able to obtain Sophrona's obituaries. I will type then in later. I first want to find what happened to her husband and son. Also, I want to find the obituary of her brother, Charles W. Padgett. Slowly but surely. lol

Sophrona Ann (Padgett) Baker
Hi Peggy,

I used the edit function to supply Sophrona's dates and places and linkage to her parents. I have also e-mailed the Superior Library to see if they do obituary lookups. If they are unable to find one for her there, I will get in touch with the Fairbury Library. My family Bible shows she died in Fairbury and it looks like she was buried in the BAKER family plot in Superior. The family story is that she died in childbirth which fits with her headstone which has the word 'Infants' engraved. Thanks for your help.

RE: Sasek family
Thanks Peggy. I see you are the maintainer of Armida's memorial, are you also of Czech heritage or related to the family by chance?

On another note, I have a photo that was given to me by a distant relative that nobody seems to link up to... The photo is of a dad, mom and 2 young boys, most likely from Saline Co., taken in the late 1800-early 1900s. The only notation on the back says "Koslan family". Someone told me it could be Kostlan.... Have you ever seen or heard this name? If you ever tun across it, could you please shoot me an email. cammi62@yahoo.com I would love to place this photo with a name and hopefully some current family members!

Thanks again. .. Have a wonderful weekend!

When I went to PA this summer, I found their stone in the old Carlisle Cemetery. My Aunt Mary Paulus Deitch remembers her Aunt Martha and wanted me to find it for her. That would be great, to try and find that out. There was another person Wong Susan that had the same family picture that I had. We are both on ancestry.com. I don't have all the dates for their children. My tree on ancestry is PAULUS-PIEMONTE FAMILY TREE.
