RE: Juanita Perritt
Great! I see that you found them both. Seems I had the names a bit off, or incomplete. Jehue's name comes from a bunch of city directory listings, but I guess he was called Hugh. What you have looks correct. The 1930 AND the 1940 censuses were both in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina. 1930: father transcribed as Johne Stanely, mom as Mande Stanely. Good detective work!

RE: Juanita Perritt
I believe the father's name was Jehue L Stanley b. abt 1856 and the mother was Maude (maiden name unknown)b. abt 1888. I do not find memorials for either of them. Juanita appears with both of them on the 1930 census, then only with her husband (Travis Perritt) and her mother (Maude) on the 1940 census.

Jane Rembert Barrett
In 1900 the census lists her age as 85 yo. She was living with her daughter in Bishopville, SC ( Sumter or Lee which ever you prefer). She died the next year. I am guessing that at the moment she died she was in Bishopville. Her daughter died 6 yrs later. Its hard to know the exact location since death certificates were not issued at that time. Her age is also a little different as is seen so often in census records. I have no doubt that this is Jane Rembert daughter of James and Elizabeth Burkett Rembert. Given the history of the Rembert family living in and around Bishopville and that a Jane Rembert married Benjamin J Barrett and is found living in Bishopville with her husband all her life I think the evidence is clear. The Rembert family had a hand in building this church and were active in the Methodist movement in the south. I will resubmit her parents information if you agree and I will accept any evidence to the contrary.
Thanks, Jenny Disque

I am aware that Lee County did not exist when Jane Rembert Barrett was born and when she died. Unfortunately findagrave doesn't make allowances for that and the only choice I had was Lee since Bishopville no longer resides in Sumter. Maybe you can take that into consideration before you reject my corrections.

RE: Edit Connie Reid
what an idiot you are.

She is my great grandmother. my sister was named after her. I know what her name was.

I could show you newspaper clippings, but, as you say, its "your" listing.

RE: Edit Connie Reid
if you google "cornelia anna reid" you will see a book called "Wadhams genealogy" that shows birth dates and marriage dates for her and her husband Roland Leroy Hearon. She was my great grandmother.

If you go to and search for "cornelia anna reid" you will see a photo of her standing on a porch talking with my grandmother.
