I became interested in genealogy and finding my roots many years ago. In 2005, I began working for a company that has several cemeteries located near it. Weather permitting, I started going out during my lunch hour and visiting these cemeteries and taking pictures. I then discovered the MI Tombstone Project were I could upload my photos and help others locate their ancestors. |
I've been trying to add my photos onto Find-A-Grave but it is a longer process trying to upload to two different sites. I have faith that I will eventually get it done. Somewhere along the way I also became Michigan's Ingham County Keeper for Find A Grave. If you find one of my photos on MI Tombstone Project, please let me know and I will upload it to FAG.
If you happen to stumble upon any Vance, Kaloz, Torok, Meehan, Cosgriff, Quinlans, Davarns, McVeigh I'd love to hear from you.
Note: If you find a photo that I took click on that photo and you will see my notes. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find other ancestors that you didn't know about based on my comments.
Please read the Help with Find A Grave link before requesting transers. I'm pretty good about fulfilling requests outside of the "direct relatives within four generations" rule. I believe the memorials are in better hands with family and/or a descendant than with myself that is a stranger to the family history. Plus, I have discovered that it is easier for "living" relatives to find you if you are the manager of the memorial. However, if you demand the request versus asking politely and if you don't state your relationship you will not receive the memorial.

I went back in and uploaded different photos if they are not correct please let me know and I will go in and try and correct it again for some reason the ones they tried to upload it kept putting them sideways or upside down and I don't know why because I edited them when I put them in so please let me know if they're not right and I will try again
|Looking Glass||James Dalton|
I guess I need my grandpa James Dalton transfered as well. I guess I didn't realize I was so far behind. Anyway, his memorial number is 40191404
|Alan Eugene Koch||Mabel Hewitt|
Thanks so very much for transferring Mabel to our account. The Hewitt family is an important part of my wife's ancestry.
Best regards, Alan

Could you transfer James Clifton Dalton to me. Memorial Number 40242310. We just had a Dalton die yesterday, and I need to get caught up on my family in Glendale. I appreciate it. Thank-You

All of the Van Blaricom's are my family. Marion (23708872) and Helen (23708867) were my great grand parents and Paul (23708887) and Laura (23708879) were my great uncle and aunt. Could you please transfer them to me so that the right family information can be added. I too am into family genealogy and having the right info means a lot. Thank for finding Pauls son Edward's memorial. He seems to of gotten lost in the books

She is in the wrong cemetery. I enlarged the pictures and could see they were the same monument at different angles and several years a part. The Questers did the same. They have the cemetery records and she is indeed in North Stockbridge with her husband. Her given name and then nickname being on that memorial there and the last name spelled without the space. You will need to delete her from Bunker Hill on find a grave but probably can just change her cemetery on the other site.

You created the memorials of Emery Wood (19003300) and his wife. I thought you might have known them.

Did you know, or are you related to the Woods? I was a neighbor when they lived on Frederick Ave. in the 1950s.
