RE: Lela Humble Thomas
Hi Patricia,
How are you? About the pictures, you are welcome. I found these pictures through yearbooks on Ancestry.com. The picture of Lela's child was from my other distant cousin of Baton Rouge. Lela was my first cousin twice removed. I'm a member of DAR, and am related to the Humble lines. George Washington Humble was my great great grandfather. And your Samuel Robert Humble was my great great uncle. I see that you and I are also distant cousins (second cousins first removed). A few people want me to gather all Humble family so I am working on it now.

(formally Texas)

Wow! Where did you find that info? Is George Washington Humble the father of Pleasant Humble? I am so excited to hear from you.

G W Humble
Hello-
Do you know if GW Humble is related to David Jesse Humble (b. 1809 NC, d.1839 in Marion Co. TN).
David Jesse Humble(s/o GW Humble and Sarah Jane Lucas) married China Hendrix and they had 3 sons:
William Standefer(Sandefer) Humble b. 1826
Fletcher Hamelton Humble b. 1828
Luke Hendrix Humble b. 1830

This family was related to the Plesant Humble, the man that Humble, Texas was named for.

Thanks
Jeannie
