Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been searching for our families for many years and finally had success with "Find A Grave". Now that I'm a volunteer, I am enjoying helping others with their search. Hobbies include sewing, chair caning and searching cemeteries. My husband, Richard, and I have been married 45 years and are now enjoying retirement in Tennessee. We have 2 daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren. I WILL GLADLY TRANSFER MAINTENANCE TO ANYONE RELATED TO THE POSTING I'VE MADE. Yes, you may copy any pictures I've posted.

Fred Overturf #30013670
I enjoy reading old newspapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match the stories and articles to the memorials here on F-A-G. I found a very brief marriage announcement for Fred Overturf and Mary Schild in the Mrs. Grundy (Tracy City, TN) paper from 10/19/1916.

I thought you might like to see it - it gives a maiden name to Fred's wife.

RE: Coon's photograph
You're welcome. I've sent the plot & GPS edits so you or family can locate the site or send flowers. The lot numbering system changes between sections making it a challenge to locate sites even with a map from the office.

William Kinnard 33309613
The gravestone in the Cunningham Cemetery is a cenotaph. He is actually buried with his second wife, Elizabeth C Smith Kinnard, in the Smith Family Cemetery in Dallas County, Texas, memorial 112683556. He moved here in 1851 with the Smith family.

You should leave the memorial and indicate in the bio where he is actually buried and add his memorial number in Dallas.

Donna Spears,
President, Smith Family Cemetery Association
3rd great granddaughter of Thomas M Smith, William Kinnard's father-in-law.

Other Marines
Thank you for the offer. If they are of Marine memorials and killed in Vietnam, that would be fine.
