Nice to meet everyone! My main interest and "hobby" is all things Lon Chaney Sr! Silent movies are still "tops" with me.
My music interests range from Alice Cooper to Robert Johnson, Jerry Reed, Jimmie Rodgers and lots of stuff in between.
I have ancestors in Tennessee [Atnip, Kell and Judkins families] and in Kentucky [Burger, Rousey (Rowzey] and Strevels families].
My GGreatgrandfathers on both sides fought in the Civil War. One for the Union and one for the Confederacy.
However, down deep, I'm still a "Johnny Reb!"
I love going to cemeteries and learning about peoples lives and deaths.
If I can help anyone out with something, please let me know!
I do make mistakes, so if you see something that needs correcting, please feel free to contact me by using the edit tab at the top of the memorial page, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Please submit any additions or corrections to me under "suggest a correction" on the memorial site. Will be happy to add any information and relationship links for you. Please read the Transfer Requirements
before requesting a transfer. Please send all transfer request through "suggest a correction tab".
Please do not add any pictures of newspaper obituaries to my memorials. OR death certificates...It's just plain tacky...
I would also like to add that I don't do anything to alter the stone for better visability. I use my eyes and my fingers to read some of the older ones. I DO NOT CHALK STONES!!! Those that do, have broken the rules of F.A.G. And not to mention that something of this nature is legally defined as vandalism. Don't let me catch you...

Could you post a location for the cemetery? I can't find it on maps. Also, could you photograph the graves of the remaining 19% that have not been done yet? (I'm particularly interested in Fords and know there are at least a couple more that haven't been indexed.) A lot to ask but it's a great hobby. Thanks!

I have tried contacting you numerous times, including going to the Find A Grave webmasters, to correct information on this grave. I had family info that I would like to see added to it as well. You have never responded to my requests, or to others within mutual families, that have asked to have the memorials of their family members turned over to them and if not turned over, at least kept up to date on the information. You take on a certain responsibility when you create memorials. One of them is maintaining them and answering requests. If you are to busy to do this, then maybe you need to start turning the memorials over to family, who care enough to want to see their ancestors maintained. You have several of ours, and I am not happy with your care of them.

Please transfer this gravesite to me, as I am related: Joel Maupin #13613294
Hello, I have been forwarded an interesting book that you can read on the internet about the Maupin descendants:
On pages 96-97 there is information on Joel Maupin and some of the children you have listed. His daughter, Sarah Frances Maupin Miskell, was my great-grandmother. Her mother, Sarah Frances Chandler Maupin, was Joel's first wife. You can connect Sarah as a child:
Sarah Frances Maupin (4th child of Joel and Sarah Frances Chandler) #86634665.
She married Lafayette Miskell and my grandfather, Noel Emmett Miskell, was their son.
|Dixie Shacklett Hatfield||Belle M. Bell|
Belle M. Bell #62326517 on the headstone with her husband James Henry Bell #18901140 is Lucretia Belle Mattingly 1858 - 1894. Hence the Belle M. 1858 - 1894. I have tried, without luck, to have James Henry Bell's bio changed. Thank you for your help and the nice picture of the stone.

I have sent several requests asking for family members memorials to be turned over to be if at all possible. I notice you do not answer anyone's requests or changes to sites. Is there a reason for this?

On Dec 3, 2014 I requested transfer for Find A Grave memorial #13577710 to me.
Do you intend to honor this request:

I have added a few for the Bayne family in Larue County, KY
I there. I have looked at Allen Wright my great great grandfather and the death date looks to me like 1833 not 1855. Is that a possibility?
|Tracy Bale Flowers||Graham cemetery In Ky|
I just read one of your messages from 2010 for Graham cemetery. I would like very much to know if you still have any of the photos you took of the headstones in that cemetery. My ancestors are buried there. They traveled to Collin co Texas in the mid 1800's thru 1882. I just thought I would ask. Would be wonderful to see actual photos. Sincerely, Tracy BALE Flowers.
Hi Tammy, What do you think of using shaving foam to help read stones. It washes off readily and does no damage. Warm regards, Liz
