Wayne Deczynski
Charles M Deczynski
Charles M. Deczynski was my paternal grandfather. He passed in 1968.

His nickname was "Jeep", was in fact a vaudeville magician. He had a major league baseball contract (don't know the team) broke his hand catching a foul ball at a game and the contract became null and void. He was traveling to Chicago for a vaudeville act, had his magic equipment stolen and never again did magic. My grandmother, Kathleen, in fact did not really like him doing the magic anyway.

He was a shop foreman at the Quimby Pump company in Newark, and later a foreman at a GM car plant. He held both jobs for quite some time.

He enjoyed gardening, had a large property in Kingston NJ, maintained a large greenhouse beside his home. He made his own wine and liked to smoke cigars.

Jeep and Kathleen had two children; my father Charles S, born Nov 12, 1920, passed Feb 12, 2013 and Kathleen, born after Charles and passed around 2008. Kathleen and Jeep also raised Kathleen Jr's first daughter Kathleen, also known as "Tootsie".

I'm so glad that you did ad everyone you found there to F-A-G, thank you! This is my wife's family, and yes, the magician photo is of him; there's also one of him in his baseball uniform (as he was also some sort of a ball player early on). Thank you again for your help and hard work in documenting the past for us all to share!!

RE: Mary & Gerald Bowles
That would be great. Not sure why Mary's name was not added to the marker.

Thank you for your efforts

Regards,

Keith

Yes Im pretty sure I would have. I was surprised that a stone that old and where it was, was not done yet. I know I added a bunch of pages from that same area, so if there was any more with that last name I would have got them. Glad we could help.

We were at that cemetery back in January. I remember the area pretty well. We were on the Find A Grave app and we took pics and added pages for all the stones in the area behind the brothers. If I did not take or add a page then they prob are not there but we could have missed it. We did take and add a lot of photos and pages that day. We are in NC or I would go and look again.
