I am a retired veteran and genealogist. I work on Fort Knox so I have opportunities to visit some cemeteries on post and in Hardin County, KY.

First, thank you for the picture and info. It's wonderful to have people who generously volunteer their time and effort to enter information and pictures and share with those of us who afar.
Yes, Donia Maria Lewis Berry was my great great grandmother. We have a photo (copy) of her sitting on her front porch in KY smoking a corncob pipe and part of a quilt she made. Cherished!

Hi James, Yes you did get her correct parents. As always I so appreciate all your help on the Kentucky Chenaults. Thank you for finding and posting the memorial for Mary Edith. The Red Book lists her only as Edith b. Dec 1898 who married Garland "Parnell"!? I guess a person could have searched forever and NOT find her burial under Parnell. :) THANKS! Pat

I have added DC to his memorial. It gives proof as to wife's maiden name. Thanks!

Yep! I'm still chasing those Chenaults! :) It's always a very pleasant surprise when another photo shows up on a memorial.

Find A Grave Memorial# 101239194
Mary Catherine Hayden Patterson is my maternal great grandmother. Some misinformation is on her Find a Grave. I can't seem to get it to take my edit.
Mary Catherine was born to William F Hayden (1821-1860) and Agnes Agatha DeWitt (1816-1900)
She had one brother, James Bennett Hayden born Sept 19, 1846 died August 4, 1932 and a half sister, Sarah Jordan Coleman.
George "Wash" Patterson and Mary Catherine were married in Hardin Co. Kentucky 23 Dec 1869. They had 4 children:
William Kison "Willie" 1873-1920
Otta "Oat" Bennett 1876-1956
Jane Agatha "Janie" 1879-1971 (this is my grandmother. She married James Andrew Jeffries of Stephensburg Ky).
Joseph Marion 1886-1956 (Joseph Marion is buried beside his mother, Mary Catherine Hayden Patterson, in Old Stone Church Cemetery. My cousin, Kenneth Stewart took me to see the graves and said he helped to dig the grave for Joseph Marion when he died. I am putting a picture of him on the Find a Grave site also.
If you are able to edit this I would appreciate it. I added her picture tonight. I will be glad to if I can find out how. Her parents don't have numbers on Find A Grave. I have not found their graves but am researching. Thank you so much.

|Deborah Lynn-Mitchell||RE: Your Grandfather|
correction on last message, my grandfathers mother, Theresa was born in Ireland and then adopted and raised in Canada, not England.

I believe it was Ontario - about 99% sure. :-) Any thing you have would be great. I have some information on his family and I have some boxes of family pictures I am going to try to get out this weekend. I have pictures of his mother and father and his sister. But any site you have that I could look him up would be wonderful. I have papers packed away, his dad was born in Windsor England and his mother was adopted by the Sullivan family of England when she was five. On her original birth certificate, her name was Nellie OConnell and she was from a family in Ireland.
Have a wonderful day!
