Bio Photo If I maintain a memorial for your family member or close friend and they are NOT my family member, I will transfer to you. (..PLEASE SEE TRANSFER PROCEDURE BELOW..)

I will no longer take action on transfer requests sent to me any way other than using the "EDITS TAB" on memorials I have entered as this gives me all the information I need to make a successful transfer to you.

I am not a "stickler" for the guidelines as they are only guidelines. I do not "own" the memorials that I create, unless I am directly related to them. If someone was near and dear to you and you would like to manage their memorial, please ask.

It is not my intention to aquire large numbers of memorials. My desire is to create accurate, lasting tributes and to be able to aid family members and loved ones now and in years to come who may be doing genealogical research.

********************NOTICE********************

Use the "Edit Tab" located at the top upper right side on each memorial to Correct Names, Dates, place of birth and death, to add parents and spouses, plot information. To request a transfer, send duplicate notice or bio information, use the "Suggest a Correction". Do Not use the public message for these requests.

====================================

*****"PLEASE (Out of respect) DO NOT post death certificates on any memorials I have "created" or "maintain" as the information on death certificates is not always accurate and the "Cause Of Death" does not need to be seen "THANK YOU"*****

=====================================

For me, Find A Grave is about Honoring the persons we create memorials for. It should NOT be a NUMBERS GAME.

Copied from another member's site which I somewhat concur with:

"I think it is a real shame what findagrave has evolved into. What started (one of the reasons) as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.

With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them."

======================================

Genealogy, begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and in the last stages, is an incurable disease.

shellie (#48011428)
I just noticed that user shellie (#48011428) left a somewhat anonymous note on James Wesley Burrow's memorial saying she was his g granddaughter. James was brother to your husband's grandfather. Have you had any contact with her to see if she has more info on that line?

Your husband's Burrow line
I looked but his line only goes back a couple of generations on Find A Grave; so, if we ARE related, we are definitely not too close as far as I can see. However without knowing more of the lineage there's no way to tell if it's somewhere farther back. I've seen Pearl and Ed in many searches though. Buryman Charles Burrow was also born in Bedford County, TN which is where my people are from; so it's very likely that we have a connection in there somewhere but I just can't see it without more data. Do you have a tree posted somewhere else that might have more info?

I added some of the data for your husband's line to my GEDCOM file; so if I come across anything that belongs to you guys then maybe I can let you know. You can also write me at the email on my profile and I'll send you my "good" email address. I don't like posting "good" email addresses where crawlers and spammers can find them though.

Thanks also for transferring Dale and Gary to me. You said you only knew of Gary through your brother. I'd like to hear more about that. If you write my email, I'd really love to hear more about the connection between them and maybe connect with your brother as well to find out any stories he might be willing to share about Gary Lynn. Since that's such a close connection to yourself though, I'd not ask you to post anything on a public wall like this. I'd love to enhance both Gary's and Dale's memorials though.

It's actually totally amazing the difference between these two brothers!!!! Gary was extremely boisterous and very much a risk taker, while Dale was extremely shy and quiet. Gary made enough noise for the both of them put together!!! LOL You were doing good if you got Dale to even look at you in the face, which is no doubt why they had to choose the certain angle of the photo I put on his profile. They no doubt had to catch him off guard and snap the shot quickly! LOL He might say a few slightly audible words now and then but making eye contact was NOT something Dale ever did. Gary, on the other hand, would drive you nuts at times with his endless stories! LOL He also was an undercover cop for many years and managed to almost single-handedly break up one of the biggest drug rings in my home town.

Well.... this is getting kind of long now so.......Be blessed and TTYL!!! :)

RE: William Claude McGee Photo request
Thank you for your time in trying to find him.If you come across any other McGee's in that cemetery or you now have photo's of the stones, I am doing my genealogy for this side of the family and would like to have photo's of them.If possible, would you mind emailing me copies of them? I would really be in your debt. I live in East Texas and it's a journey to the area where they are.It would really be appreciated.Thank you again for your help.My email is justplaincountryphotography@yahoo

Best regards, Deb

Mary Katherine Turner Lewis
Hello,

The reason I suggested "Kathy" for her nickname is that is stated in the first line of her obituary.

thanks

Your dad and sister
Hey I just saw on your dad's memorial that it says you have a sister "Mary Burrow of Peoria." Do you happen to know what Burrow line she married into? I wonder if we're related! lol

Rick Miller
Steven Billy Crouch
He's my second cousin. He is named after his daddy, Billie Roland Crouch. His Texas divorce decree gives his name as Billy S Crouch, but I have not seen it given that way on anything else.
He and I are virtually the same age. His dad was in Army, so I only saw him between tours when they came home to visit.
His mother, Doris Evelyn (Zellner) Crouch was the daughter of Lavoy Odell Zellner. Uncle Odell (he always went by Odell in the family, but people outside of the family knew him as "Jack")and my grandmother, Leoma Lillian (Zellner) Welch were brother and sister.
He is family and I knew him well. I would be happy to maintain his memorial, but he doesn't fall within Find A Grave guidelines for family transfers. Still, if you are willing, I would be happy to maintain it.
Thanks for creating this memorial for him. I would have done it myself, but I was traveling when he died and didn't get around to it before you did it.

RE: Elizabeth Wright Tarlton Edit request
I am doing the family genealogy for a Doctor in my church. I do this as a avocation. I have most of my lines way back. It is just fun. And I strive to be correct. Thanks for the help.
