Dear R.C. Karnes,
my name is Erwin de Mooij and I am the content webmaster for the 457th Bomb Group Association website.
At this moment I am working on a virtual cemetery/memorial on the website honering all 339 KIA/MIA/KIS of the group.
I saw your picture of Cosmo J. Fazzio's grave marker and I was wondering if I could use it for the memorial. If you made any other photos of 457th BG members would I be able to use these too?
We would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you R.C. Karnes for your generous gift of time and respect on behalf of my family who are buried at Calvary Hill and around. I am honored to carry on your work, although I'm just getting started.
|Thomas R McKee||Stadden Cemetery - new photos|
You had asked about additional photos from the Stadden Cemetery. Dad and I made a couple of recent visits to the Stadden Cemetery. As we expected it is in really poor shape, very badly overgrown, fallen trees, poison ivy, briars, etc. But at least the badly overgrown fence is keeping the cows out now so there is no further damage in that regard.
It took me awhile trimming the heavy overgrowth of briars off the Stadden gate before I could either see the sign or open the gate. Then we found the McKee gate and fence under a huge group of fallen tree branches. It took us a couple of afternoons to clear the McKee section and rebuild our fence before I ventured out to find more gravestones, most of which were buried under the leaves and dirt.
I posted a number of new photos after the visit.

I would like to thank you for the work that you have done. I to like doing geneology and have been trying to find my moms aunt. My mom will be glad to know where Lizzie Cumba is and that she can go by to put flowers out. Thanks again

Thank you very much. I always appreciate photos of gravestones, especially those taken far from where I live. I plan to take many in local cemeteries here when the snow melts.

Thank you for adding my Mother's gravestone picture. I was 6 when she died, and I had never seen her grave... My father remarried quickly and never talked about my mother again after that. I finally found her grave a few years ago...50 years after she died. I appreciate your pictures....her name was elizabeth Catherine rice Lindsley.?"
|Clifford Bruce Stewart||Thank you again|
RC and Sarah Quinn for the flowers,
Thank you. I have now found my father's grave. Last night I found my grandparents, all of this from your help. I was taken from my parents at 18 months of age in 1954 when I was adopted, and I was born in 1953. My father was Alex T Stewart, and you have shown me his grave. It has taken me 58 years to get to this point of knowing. Thank you, I will be visiting Westbrook Cemetery in the future; I live inn Santa Fe, New Mexico. My original name is Clifford Bruce Stewart and my name through adoption is Clifford E Carnicom.
Thank you very deeply, from Clifford
I came across the findagrave website yesterday and have spent hours doing searches on family members.
I wanted to thank you VERY much for posting the marker for my parents graves. Edward & N. Jean Buckley.
My parents died when I was a teenager and I moved away from TX many years ago. I never knew that a marker was ever placed and it has bothered me for all these years that if I ever had the opportunity to go back home and visit my parents graves that I would have no way of finding them.
So, again, THANK YOU!
|L. Frey||Yargar transfers|
Thank you for the transfer of my Yargar ancestors. Also, thank you for the tombstone pictures and all your hard work in helping others. Linda
