I love Genealogy. It has been so rewarding researching my ancestors and finding out all about them. I just found this Web Site and I have been wondering for so long why there wasn't something like this for us researchers before now. It certainly makes it easier to find people. |
I am researching the surnames on my Dad's family of: Cherry, Anderson, Adair, Bass, White, Murphy, Brumley, McKay, McKinley, Key, and Sharrock,
And on my mother's side: Brackeen, Littleton, Brown, Gray, Montgomery, Barrett and Hancock.
and on my husband's family: Merk, Dodson, Morrison, Gillock, Gilmore, Harkins and Folsom.
And family connections of my children: Thomas, Cudd and Johnson.
I am retired now and plan to do more time at the cemeteries looking for gravesites and taking pictures. All of these are my passion and what a joy to find I can now put them all together and to use for myself and any others wanting some help.I encourage everyone to submit their families gravesites to this website. It does help so much when genealogists are researching a name.
Please, DO NOT use e-mails and public messages to request transfers, corrections, links, and/or additions. They DON'T contain the necessary information and will be ignored and/or deleted.
If you have additional information, corrections, transfer requests, and/or links, please click the EDIT tab which is at the upper right of each memorial. Select the first bulleted item (SAC) and follow the directions.
Transfer requests should only be for DIRECT relatives within four generations. This would be your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When requesting a transfer, please state your relationship to the individual.
Any NON-DIRECT relatives (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. For these extended family members, you can create a "Virtual Ccemetery" and keep track of them there.
If I created a memorial for your loved one and you would like to have it transferred to you, please let me know. If you are an IMMEDIATE (within 4 four generations) member of that family, I will be happy to transfer it to you. If I make a memorial and transfer it to you, do not delete it and start over with one of your own. If you do, it will be reported to Find A Grave. If you notice duplicates that I have done, please let me know and I will deal with them. If I place a photo on your loved ones memorial page and you do not want it on there, please feel free to contact me and I will remove it. I never want to intrude or offend, so please let me know, if I do.

|texnative||VARCOE AND WALDO BARKER|
Thank you for linking the Barkers and also Varcoe to her Robinson parents. I could not remeber Varcoe's married name (after all it has been almost 70 years!). I finally found a short obit for her father, William E., in the Paris News, 1935 that gave me the name. All this time she has been in Oaklawn--waiting to be found!
Thank you so much for linking him with his parents.

I was able to take care of it. Thanks,

Hello, again, Lena!
Can you please link little Alrea's father to her memorial for me?
Her parents were John Jacob Helm (Memorial # 90990524) & Beulah Brackeen Helm (I have not found a memorial for Beulah Brackeen Helm on Find A Grave). It is noted on John Jacob Helm's memorial that he an Beulah divorced prior to 1930.
If I find further supporting documentation, I'll be sure to send to you for the memorial.
Thank You for Your Help!

I made changes based on the headstone in the photo and on your information. Thanks for the input. The City of Gladewater holds the records for this cemetery. I worked there five years ago, and I no longer have access to these records.

Hello Lena B.,
Noticed you entered a "leave flowers, etc" on Zou Anderson Find A Grave 33408570 but nothing appeared??
I was wondering if something is wrong at your end or my end?
