Yeah, tell me about it! Fayetteville, Lincoln County, Tennessee and the surrounding areas such as Lawrence County, Giles County, Beford County are full of them!!!!
I don't give easily, I looked for Adaline's daughter for 4 years before I found her. She was my husband's grandmother and we knew she was committed to a mental hospital in the 30's but that was all we knew, the hospital burned w/ all records. After years of searching and contacting state officals trying to find more about the hospital I found her death certificate, that wasn't easy either, I had a 16 year span. There was a lady, Melissa, I call her my genealogy angel that contacted me saying she thought she had found something for me and sure enough it was our Clara's death certificate which gave dates that she was born, died, how she died and where she was buried, none of which we didn't know and confirmed her parents... maybe I'll get lucky with finding her mother's parents, especially if I have more genealogy angel's like you and Melissa. Thanks, I am going to use the file you sent to me via personal email address to start with and try to find her father.

| Randolph's in Sandlin Cemetery
Kevin, you added a note to A.S. and Elizabeth Randolph's memorial pages that they were the parents of at least 7 children. Do you know any names of these children, I am trying to find the parents of Adaline Randolph who married John Howell. He was the decsendant of the Sandlin's that are buried in Sandlin Cemetery and I was hoping that these Randolph's might be her parents. She was born in 1867. | | |
