I am researching David L. Campbell. I notice that he is living in the 1850 census with William Jackson and his wife Nancy in Davidson County, TN. It appears you have researched the Jacksons a lot. Do you know how David Campbell is connected to the Jacksons?

Hey, Cuz, I just added tombstone photos to the memorials, so you may want to rearrange. If you decide to take your own, it'll be tough going to beat today's prettiness.
In one of those quirky happenstances, came at Sam & Alma from Alma's side of the family. Her sister Delia was apparently one of (my gg-aunt, your cousin) Josie Carothers' nurses. My grandmother had well preserved "glamour shots" of Delia and of nurse Emma Myers, trying for years to find out who they were. Now we know. Long live the InterWebz!
Alma's and Delia's mama was born a Weatherly in Wilson County, so that's hitting pretty close to home, too. Found the Etheridge parents at Mt Olivet, so will add them and send the link info.

Henry Hyde of HYDE'S FERRY PIKE in Davidson Co., TN is also a son of
Richard Hyde, 1717-1762 and his wife Mildred MILLY Hartwell, 1720-1795. Henry Hyde 1753-1812 was married to Rebecca Warren 1763-1829.
Would be great to link Henry and Rebecca with H.B. Hyde...Thank you for your help with this matter.

I had typed the wrong birthdate. Should have been 1851 not 1801. his father Franklin was born in 1826. Franklin's father was Benjamin Castleman Sr. mother Hannah Smith. Frank was brother of Joseph Robert Castleman my great-great grandfather. Frank Castleman and Nancy Ann Jenkins had 10 children. Thank you for letting me know, I have corrected the date. MHN

|Dana Smith Swilley||RE: Neelys at Springhill Cem|
When you look up cemetery's in Nashville, you will find a section on Spring Hill. It states that William Neely, ( the one scalped ) is there with an plain marker. All of my grandmothers family is there. She was a daughter of William Neely, married to Ophelia Burge. He is there and his wife, and all of his family before him. When I was little we would go but I have not been able to find it now. Each time I go back home I go and try to look for it. The cemetery can not help me, they are not on a computer and there are a lot of records that were destroyed by a fire. They have not been much help. It is just a matter of walking and searching.
|Dana Smith Swilley||Neely's|
Thank you for the information. I changed the birth place on the information you sent, which was something I meant to do a while back. The information on William Neely and his family being buried in the cemetery came from the Tennessee Archives. It is also listed in the history of Springhill Cemetery. That I will not change. I did not trace the direct line of Sam Neely, and have not posted any information on him.

Sending you an email, Karen. We photographed all we could see - but it's hard to imagine there aren't more in such a large area, isn't it?
