RE: John Lewis Havens
Hi Anonymous - I would dearly like this reference info to appear with the articles. Can you update the captions for me?
Best,
Joy

John Lewis Havens
Hi - can you supply a date for the articles that you attached to the entry for John Lewis Havens in Mount Pleasant cemetery? They are terrific but would be much enhanced by knowing where and when they were published.
Best,
Joy

Joseph George Vogelsang
Dear Anonymous,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to documentation and somewhat confirmed by his gravestone, he was in the same unit as my grandfather.

I'm not sure where I'm going with my research, but I want to eventually publish something. It may be a book, an article, or something else. Should I publish something, may I have permission to use your photograph of Joseph George Vogelsang? I'm not even sure I'll use the photograph, but I want to be prepared.

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

I don't know who you are, but I thank you so much for adding the beautiful newspaper photo of my Dad and Uncle. I would love to know the newspaper information for the photo. What a wonderful surprise for me to get today, just when I needed a little sunshine in my life! Your kindness is so appreciated. You're a special person.

Thanks for getting back to me and letting me know how you found the information. As you said, a very sad story that has no answers. Thanks again.

Robert Rohmann Memorial 167659681
Anon....

It was my honor to fulfill your image request for Robert Rohmann.
I should pass on a couple of observations that may be of use to his family.
FindAGrave has this soul linked as a spouse to a Virginia A. Rohmann 1924-2008 (Memorial# 167660365). She is buried in the same cemetery, though not with him.
First, Her headstone lists a middle initial of M vice the 'A' listed in the memorial.
Second, She is buried with and shares a headstone with Mary E. Johnson 1894-1990. Memorial #162393769) It is possible that this person is her Mother??
That would be for her family to research.

I have the images for Virginia and Mary in case a researcher wants to request them.

Keep up the good work!

Jackson

Memorial 160857005, Harold Lehman
Thanks for adding this memorial, especially the two newspaper clippings. Harold Lehman would have been my father's cousin, I had never heard this story, I don't know if my father ever knew the details. I was able to locate the source of the shorter clipping but would be interested in knowing the source of the longer story. Also, do you have any suggestions for additional research, I know next to nothing about my Lehman tree. Thanks again.

RE: Photos at Calverton
There were 300 photo request when I started four days ago ... I've got it down to 188, but new ones get added every day. There is someone else working the same cemetery as well so that 188 may also be in part to her. I hope to get it down to under 100 before I give up (I'm traveling, don't live in the area.)

RE: Bruce Battles photo
I am so sorry, his name is Bruce C. Buttles. My tablet is trying to correct my spelling...sometimes it's a good thing, other times it is very distracting (LOL).
