|I was born and raised in Iowa, but have called CA home for over 25 years.|
I am new to family history research, but I am hooked!
I recently made some connections on Find A Grave and am quickly learning what a great tool it is in searching through family history.
I also discovered I have a passion for indexing (and photographing) local cemeteries. If we all do our part, the information each of us needs will be right at our fingertips.
Thank you to those responsible for this fabulous website. What an incredible tool and service you provide!
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

|JHaight||RE: Jacobina Leppig|
What do you mean by link? Email address? J Haight

My husband's grandmother was Christine Embs & she married Adolph Weiland in Pittsburgh. I have found immigration data & have traced the sons but have spent the last 2 yrs looking for the girls other than Christine. I have learned that "Kirstine" on the ship's log was named Jacobina which is the name my spouse recalled for the mother. The ship log had her as Justine. I have not found Gatine, the youngest child nor the father. I understand that Jacobine Leppig is Jacobina Embs, the sister of Christine Embs Weiland. J Haight

Hi! Jacobina is a long-lost aunt of my spouse's and I was wondering where you got the information about the parents. I have been trying to find the mother since she immigrated. DO you have data on her? Thanks. Jane Haight

Thank you so much for attempting to photograph the graves of Abraham and Eduviges Fernandez. Sad that their graves are unmarked.
Thank you for taking the time.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHO MADE THE RECENT CHANGES IN MA LINTHICUM FIND A GRAVE INFO? HER MOTHER PASS IN 1902.
|Cathy Combs||Robert D Anderson|
Sorry, I don't know anything about Robert. Looks like you've gone out to FamilySearch.org for the census information. It's too bad they don't seem to include burial information.
Good luck with the hunt!
