Thank you for posting the picture and location for the Pleasant Grove/Union Cemetery near Liberty Mills and North Manchester, IN. Do you know if there is a map of the cemetery? a sexton? I am trying to find the location of the tombstones of Daniel Mentzer (32592041) and family. I hope to visit the cemetery in August. Thanks, Jane from MI
|trisha starkweather||Matlock Cemetery|
Hi! I was wondering if you could give me any info about Matlock Cemetery. I can not find a website/phone number/address. Did they merge with another cemetery? I have namesake twin baby relatives buried here and I'm trying to find out who they belonged too so they are on the family tree and want to contact the cemetery and see if they can tell me who purchased the graves. Thanks!

I played in the Laketon High School Band at South Pleasant Methodist Wabash County on Memorial Day however the Flag Garden was not that fancy in the 50's My brother retired and moved back home so he had updated me on all the cemeteries
Since he died in 2013 -- I have a WEB Site with all our Families in it

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Hi Six Dog Team,
I took the pic off Margaret Thompson's Profile. Not sure how this happened. The "Cant find the Marker" picture was sent to me to use when I first started doing this. I believe back from the first summer I was with FindAGrave.com...I spent many weeks catching up the entire Oaklawn Cemetery. They gave me the index and didnt find it probably. That picture of yours...I asked others (dont remember who)since I was new.. What do I do if I cant find the marker? And someone sent that to me to use. Now what I do if I know the section..I have a picture of the section that says "Cant find the Marker but its in section 1" for example. I completely deleted that pic you said was yours from my computer. Sorry...Never had a problem like this before. THANKS for letting me know. Sorry again!

Over a year ago when I first started doing Find A Grave, I was going to drive to N Manchester where I have flowers to put on relatives. I was going thru the list to see if there were some that needed headstone photos. Nearly all have a grave photo. I was checking on some in particular and found the unmarked grave photo on them. I went to Jays page and related that photos like that make it difficult to work on photos that are needed because you cant tell if the grave photos are there on not. He preceded to tell me that the "powers that be" told him to do that. I have since searched for the "powers that be" and it is not related to oweners of Oaklawn and I cannot find any Find A Grave district manager over Oaklawn. So?...
Trouble is, you get one person doing this and later if not stopped, others will start doing it too. What a mess that will be. I even did it in Oaklawn with a couple to test the waters and well you know why.

After looking at the photos again, I can see a diff in the size of the photos. Jay Vanlandingham put "UNmarked grave" over part of it. Just looking at the dates, easily make the mistake. Im thinking he didnt even know the photo had the correct marker in it. He put that photo on lots of memorials with no grave marker in Oaklawn. I apologize, I was wrong. Reason im a little sensitive was I had the memorials and recently on another memorial; a lady had a child and no one ever knew it on Find A Grave and I created a memorial and borrowed the photo off the lady for the child. Was going to replace it soon but someone noticed and was going to report me.
Like you, id rather have someone copy my photo and put it on a memorial than to have no photo on it. Keep up the good work and have a great day. Thanks again for the transfer.
The photo you have of the distant shot of the memorials seems to be an exact copy of the one Jay Thompson put on Margarets #46640137 memorial page. Talking about #24140205 John Thompson Oaklawn photo is copied off of Jay Vanlandinghams photo.
Rules specifically state no photos to be taken off of others memorials or photos. Its not possible for leaves etc to be in the exact same place a year later. Could you please delete or explain this.
