Bio and Links
Bio Photo Started researching the family roots about 1990. researching the names ROBERTSON, WAGGONER, DECKARD, SEXTON, HAMMOND, ALEXANDER, BROWN, SWANGO, GIBSON, COWLES, TAYLOR, VANCE, AND GRAMLIN. Have just recently started taking digital cemetery pictures of stones to add to family tree collections.

I decided to start contributing these pictures on line to share with other's in search of these Ancestors.

These bios and pictures may not be published for sale or sumitted to websites that charge a subscription.

Please send any corrections or pictures via "EDIT" button and I will correct or add to these collections and give credit to the person submitting. If you are a family member of one of my postings and would like ownership to add bios or pictures feel free to do so.

These entries are dedicated to our two sons, grandchildren and future generations in search of their roots.

Have been working 5 years on photographing & posting WALNUT RIDGE CEMETERY, JEFFERSONVILLE, IN to FAG.

DO NOT USE BLEACH TO CLEAN WHITE MILITARY STONES AS IT WILL TURN THEM YELLOW AND THE DAMAGE CANNOT BE UNDONE.

RE: Delores Jean nee Phillips Schnieders
Thank you so much for the help, and the offer, Janet. Charles is a fourth cousin that I am trying to get linked into the family tree. ( I have a relationship edit pending for him, too.)

Transfer only if you want to shed a memorial, otherwise, I am equally happy to transfer Delores to you, to help concentrate management of Walnut Ridge Cemetery memorials in your capable hands. You choose.

Happy St. Paddy's!

Ray Neville Manus-Walnut Ridge Cemetery
Hi Janet, thank you so much for photographing my brother's (Ray Neville Manus) gravestone at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. I've been working on our family history for a number of years and this picture means so much to me. Thanks again, it turned out beautifully. Faye (Manus) Olivis, Alabama.

James Rasor: Memorial# 42688915

Dear Janet:

Today I write to commend you for the volume and quality of your work conducted for a wider community interested in preservation and family history.

In particular my profound thanks for the memorial you created for my kinsman, James Rasor (1817-1836), and the photography which you took and enhanced his memorial. After perusing the memorial I'm left with several questions. First amongst those, might you be kin to the Rasors?

As General Washington once explained, "I fear my vision has grown dim in the service of my country." Below the biographical inscription on his headstone there seems to be a scripture or epitaph inscribed. Sadly, since I am unable to read this I was wondering if you might, or perhaps have a transcription in your records you would share with me?

Finally, the headstone seems to be on the ground. Do you know of a reliable professional in the area I might engage to conserve the stone and reset it in the ground?

Again my thanks,
George
