We've had a rough few months. Please visit the memorial of my niece Christin Cooper, 1982-2016. She left us much too soon. My mother Betty Cooper, 1932-2015. And now my father in law Charles Hall, 1930-2016.|
I am currently working on my family tree and my husband's family tree. I apologize in advance to those that I send many SAC's. Sometimes it seems like I'm connected to everyone in a cemetery. I like to get as much information as I can on their memorials, but it is very important to me personally to add maiden names and links. Thank you to everyone who has added information and thank you to those who will in the future.
If you're planning to go to Mount Hope and aren't sure where your family is buried, email me ahead of time and I can send you more information, along with maps of the cemetery. Mount Hope covers a large area and it can be difficult to find a specific burial without a map.
I've completed taking pictures of Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Mo, with the exception of stones added since June 2010, and they are all online. If there wasn't a stone, I took a picture of the space. The pictures that say "space unknown" means I have the block and lot number, but not the space number so I just took a picture of the lot or of an unmarked space in the lot.
I realize that some of my pictures are not all that great, so if you'd like me to try to get a better photo, let me know. If I've made any mistakes or you'd like more information added, just let me know.
Many of the headstone pictures that I've placed on my family's memorials were actually taken by my parents. I have my Mom's permission to use hers and since my Dad's passing, his pictures are now mine. I've created virtual cemeteries for family.
It is not my intention to create duplicate memorials and I try not to but sometimes it happens. Please let me know if I have created a duplicate and I'll remove mine. And I'd appreciate it if you don't create duplicates of ones already on. I am more than happy to transfer management of the memorials I have created unless they are my family. Just click on edit on the memorial and ask for a transfer and include your relationship.
I don't mind sharing the photos I've taken for personal use but I would like to request that others do not take credit for any photos I've taken.

Dear Kelly, Thanks for the Victoria Fox transfer.

Dear Kelly, If you wouldn't mind, could you please transfer Victoria Fox, memorial#57913843 to me?
She is the mother of one of the girls who married a Smoot and I am doing research on her trying to find the correct spelling of her maiden name, etc. and it's taking awhile. Thanks ever so. Lily

Dear Kelly, Thanks for the transfers. I am in the middle of researching them now, a never ending process, I might add. P.S. I am a central Mo. resident myself, same goes if I can be of assistance. Lily

Dear Kelly, You are so kind. If you would transfer all 7 of the Smoots in Mt. Hope it would make it easier to finish links and edits and hopefully add other info. One of George's brothers came to Jasper Co. for a couple of years but then returned to Daviess Co., Indiana. Thank you so much.
If a closer relative than me finds them I will pass them on. I just love the research and the linking together of families.
May you find friendship and comfort on Find-a-Grave. Lily
So sorry to hear of your recent family loses. I left flower tokens, hope that is OK with you.
I found you because I sent edits to link George W. Smoot buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery to his parents and his children. His parents are my great-great-great grandparents. It will be nice to have him linked. Thank you, and again, sorry for your loss. Lily

Kelly--thank you for helping creating the links for Enola and her spouses. Maybe I will get her death notice typed up one of these days!
It was quite the journey to find everyone as they each were married more than once. I think they are all united now.
On a personal note, I am so sorry for your losses so recently--so many within such a short time, and so very close to you.
Thanks for your message. My mother and I co-own this account, and we descend from Nancy Jane's daughter Ruth Chastain. Ruth married Charles "Fred" Browning, and their daughter Helen is my grandma. Let me know if you would like any more information! I have rather complete records of Nancy Jane's children as well as photos.
|Linda Allen||RE: Luella Marble|
I'm just trying to solve a bit of a mystery in my tree. Others are saying this is the wife of Francis Marion Aubrey Marble who is listed on the marriage record I found as Lulie Ella Hayes and on the 1910 census report as Ella living in Jasper County, MO. She was born about 1872 and died before 1920.
I have put all the information on this memorial into my tree on Ancestry and get nothing.
I was just wondering if the information came from burial records or death certificate or some thing like that.
Thank you for the offer to transfer the memorial but until I know for sure who this woman is I think you had better hang on to it.
