Oh and as a secondary note, I don't know if I mentioned it but the John Eddie died in about 83 I think it was in Lake Charles. Might be a Social Security Death record on him. I will post a Obituary as soon as I get the chance. I have access to local newspaper article all the way back to around 1890 online. Let me know if you need something looked up or any help at all in anything as far as that goes. I will be online till June 2015.

I only knew one of my Grandparents and he died when I was about 6 the rest died pretty much prior to my birth. My parents never talked about the past, father died when I was 15, mother just died in 2009. So I got started pretty much knowing nothing and have gone from there.
I have found out my Theriot heritage goes way back. I am also a direct descendant to most pioneers of Lake Charles Louisiana, in fact the city is named after one of my Grandparents. My heritage reaches all corners of Southwest Louisiana, if they were born here before 1960 I can pretty much guarantee they are kin to me.

She is not always clear or accurate. She puts all her faith in records from a priest that accumulated information and that on now on disc. I put my research 98% on what I can dig out on records. The confusion was their where two John E Theriot's. John Evis and John Eddie the correct one should be John Eddie but he doesn't have a memorial built yet. I hope to do so soon. I will dig through his obituary to verify all the information to sure I don't leave anything out when I do. I have been doing genealogy for almost 20 years and the Theriots are on my maternal side of the family, most have married to cousins so the search is usually a big circle and back the where you started.
I will soon end my work in June 2015. 20 years is long enough.

Marilla Marie Lebouef husband was John Edwiard (Eddie) Theriot who died in 1983 and is buried at Highland Memorial Park as she is. It is not John Evis Theriot to whom she is linked to. I have read the obits for both John's and the one she is currently linked to was never married no has had any children. I don't believe there is a Memorial built for John Edward (Eddie)Theriot. he died in Lake Charles in 1983 and his obit is listed in the Lake Charles American Press dated June 12, 1983.

Heddins Family
Hello, I see you left a photo on John Heddins Find A Grave Memorial# 10727070 memorial! His wife, Catharine Elizabeth Carpenter Heddins, was my third great Aunt. I was wondering if you happened to have any photos which includ Catharine or other family members? I don't know if you have done much research on the Carpenter line, and if you had, if you knew anything else about Catharine's mother Maria Preston Carpenter? I am hitting a brick wall on her family, where her grave is etc. Just fishing to see if you have anything maybe handed down through your family line or from your research. I come down the line through Nathaniel Carpenter, one of Catharine's brother. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and for posting that photo of John. Sincerely, Leslie

Talking via phone to Lloyd's daughter Ethel Allen, she says Ernest was older than Lloyd and his wife's name was Vida She says Ernest is buried in the big cemetery in Jena, La. and that she thinks Vida was buried in Pennsylvania where Joan, Ernest, and Vida's daughter was living at the time of Vida's death.

Ernest Girlinghouse
When a jid growing up Thelma Girlinghouse had her brother inlaw Ernest Girlinghouse living next door to her on here farm here at Monterey, I do not recall what Ernest wife's name was but I think it started with the letter "V" they had one daughter named Joan who worked for the US Goverment in Washington DC.
I will ask Ethel if she recalls where Ernest was buried.
