Many people are studying their family history to find medical information. Among the conditions that are thought hereditary and at least partly preventable or treatable are depression, diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer. Omitting medical information is not polite, IMHO.

I found a statement about links that perfectly expresses my own beliefs. I'm posting it with permission.--------------------------
Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.

My number of memorials managed is increasing because I apparently am the succession plan for a few contributors, at least partially. I don't mind, it's easy to maintain memorials.

RE: Burial Dates
I have not been working in the Valley Falls cemetery recently. Almost all, if not all of the most recent additions/corrections have been from the Oak Hill cemetery in Atchison. I recently took pictures there and practically all of the changes have come from the tombstones that I had photographed. Some may have come from obituaries of the old newspapers that I have been reading from I have no connection with any of these recent memorials. Thanks for your continuing work making information available for those who are researching their families and friends.

Leona Fern Kimrey Faris

are you related to leona Faris? Just wondering if you know anything about her family or if you just manage her grave site. Her grandparents were my great grandparent. Just wondering if you would know anything about John M. Parkers parents?

I don't want you to transfer any gravesites you rare managing. Just trying to find someone who knows about the family.
Thanks Pepperlou

Re: Clara Hile Risk
I added the information that you requested to Clara's memorial, but I did edit it a bit. The informant on her death certificate was her son, not her husband. They both had the same name and thus the confusion. Her husband was already deceased when Clara died. Thanks for the additional info.

Thanks Tom, I just happened to be researching these types of deaths for the Historical Soc, I was glad you brought that to my attention.

No problem.
Some people seem to go into hysterics when they find a duplicate. Duplicates don't bother me. It's just simply an error, easily correctable. No harm, no foul.

Daisy and Wm. Prim
Just wanted to thank you for making memorial pages for Daisy and William Prim at Fairmount Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau. You are correct, they both have death certificates and both state they were buried there. The mystery is why Fairmount records do not have them listed. Probably because they were buried in what they call "pauper's graves". I am placing a picture of the general area where they are buried. It is my thought everyone deserves a picture even if they do not have a grave marker.

If you had not found them and put their memorial pages on find-a-grave, most likely there would never have been one. So thanks again.
