I am more than willing to transfer memorials to a family member or a friend, except my relatives. When I get a photo request, and it is a relatively small cemetery, I photograph the whole cemetery and create memorials for any photo I can not find a memorial. All you have to do is ask for a transfer, I am not a contributor so that I can have the largest number of memorials or some such nonsense. I would much rather a family member or friend manage the memorial. I am just a temporary caretaker.
Hattie Mitchell # 90595160 Hi James, my name is Michelle and I'm the 3rd cousin of Hattie Mitchell's daughter, Nellie. I'm asking that you transfer her memorial to me, as I would love to take care of her and add her vital information to it. Thanks in advance for all of the work you are doing. Thanks for taking the picture of Margaret J Collins (my Great Great Grandmother) for me and putting it on Find A Grave. The rest of her family is buried in Athens, TX. I think she went down to Millican, TX with her husband Dr. John Collins (my Great Great Grandfather) to help in the Yellow Fever epidemic that was in Millican @ that time: she probably was bit by the mosquitoes there and died of Yellow Fever herself. Dr. Collins probably buried her there, instead of sending her body on a stagecoach for days to be buried in Athens. I looked all over for her date and place of death and couldn't find it, until one day I saw it posted on Ancestry.com. Thanks again.
