Bio Photo Greetings to you,
The last thirteen years I've been restoring cemeteries in Tippecanoe County Indiana. My webpage is linked below showing my projects. I have also done the GPS locations in Tippecanoe County cemeteries and photographed in all of them. You will find my overall photographs on 90% of Tippecanoe County sites here on Findagrave or on my pages below.

PLEASE use the EDIT buttons for updates to burials. Please feel free to add photographs or original obituaries.

I am currently working on cemetery books for our library shelves for Springvale and Greenbush cemeteries in Lafayette. Several people have helped to finish Ruth Neuman's 2003 project on Springvale. There are many errors in the records we used that reflect differently on the tombstones, obituary or other records. Please help others by adding your gravestone photographs. Then send your corrections by using the EDIT button. Together we can make it better.

I will go back and delete dups soon for Springvale and Greenbush. Thank you all for your photographs. They really help to add better information.

While your out in the cemeteries, take time to look for the handcarved rocks and homemade tombstones as they mark the graves of someones early ancestors. They may have just been passing through on thier way to the West. Please don't move them, but photograph them for record preservation. I've found several and usually do find handcarved and home made stones too.

Thank you Find-A-Grave for this site and opportunity to share the history. Our cemeteries are still distroyed everyday. So please take the time to contribute in your area if you can. It helps preserve family history for everyone and future generations who comes searching later.

I'm also a Genealogist with the Historical Association & TIPCOA Genealogy Society.

Mary/Nancy Cowan Shaw # 7215251
Thank you for posting the picture of my gr-gr-grandmother Mary Cowan Shaw's tombstone. The one I had was totally illegible.

James Shaw # 7215245
Thank you so much for posting the newspaper clipping about James Shaw's death. He was my gr-gr-grandfather and I was able to visit Pretty Prairie Cemetery briefly years ago, but had never heard how he died. My gr-grandmother Margaret Elizabeth Shaw, his youngest child, had just married Robert McFarland Barkley and moved to Ogle County, IL shortly before his death.

Find A Grave Memorial# 60968981
You created the memorial and Ann H. went to take a photo and reported that she could not find the grave at the plot (sec 18, lot 16, p 127). Did you do it by going to the cemetery or from a record?

John Edward Johnson
Hi,
I wonder where you found the article. It is one I scanned in somewhere but I forgot where. Glad you added it. John Johnson had no children but helped raise two nephews Herbert Johnson and Raymond Johnson. The later person is my husbands grandfather.
