Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE!
Also, I've had quite a number of requests from people who think I also do free research. No, I don't. I take headstone photos and try to make sure cemeteries are complete and online. I have other hobbies. I don't do paid research either.
Thank you.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

William L. Brinkley
Greetings, I have found 2 William Brinkley in davidson county. I believe that William L. Brinkley that I sent an edit for was the son of Daniel and Nancy Brinkley. Nancy in 1870 is listed as head of household with William L. Brinkley. I believe William Brinkley same birthdate moved to Watauga county is the son of John and Sarah Brinkley.

I noticed that you put a note on his memorial as Cousin. Do you know if his wife , Mary Harriet Jones is buried with him? If so, I can add her to the Lexington City Cemetery list. I am helping a cousin on this.Thank you.

David Yokley Sowers
I am trying to find out about the man that my grandfather, David Yokley Sowers, was named after. His father was James Columbus (JC) Sowers born in 1855 in Davidson County, NC. He lived there until about 1876 moving to Arkansas, Texas, then Oklahoma. The family story is that David Yokley was JC's best friend and may have worked with him in a saloon. There is a David Yokley that is "related" to the Sauer/Sowers through two Clodfelter sister but he would have been pretty old when JC was living in North Carolina. I saw that one of the sons of Samuel David Yokeley was David Pinkney Yokeley (1843-1926) who would have been about the same age as JC Sowers. So if you have any information that might make the connection I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Quick inquiry
On grave listings you sometimes use the term "d/o...". What does d/o stand for? Thanks!

Wilhelmina "Minnie" Bartz Rice
Hi Kathy,

There are two children by the name of Henry & Harvey Rice that do not belong to this family. Is it possible that you can remove them?
