Bio and Links
Bio Photo My thanks for the patience many have given during my recent health issues. Still have a ways to go but am slowly working my way through corrections and links. Have nearly 900 emails currently. But at least half of those are my request. The easy take a little while. The impossible take a little time. Please, Please, Please use the edit button when making or requesting links and corrections. It really speeds up the process.

The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 28,000 graves but only about 9,000 listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there.

PLEASE DO NOT POST DEATH CERTIFICATES ON MY MEMORIALS.
PLEASE DO NOT POST OBITUARY PICTURES, THEY ARE COPYRIGHTED.
=================================================

My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.
You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother
Hazel Staton Peurifoy
and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.

Photos of graves are free to use. However, personal photos of individuals are copyrighted by this writer and can only be used on other sites by written request via email (not "public messages on my personal page) and acknowledgement of original owner of the photograph.

Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.

Proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Robert

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the links. Hope you are well.
Having a horrible time with my fibrolygis &
lupus. Hot weather & humidity are my worst
enemy in the summer.
Have a great day,
Cindy

This makes absolutely NO sense to me whatsoever. I sure wonder what in the world is going on since the 'mutiny' by Ancestry has taken place- pfff! They are making things such that it no longer benefits anyone to volunteer information and contribute, at least in part for credit not being given where it is due via having to use SACs only, in adding our veterans' and soldier histories.
I fully support your complaint and will second it! Keep me posted on anything new, please. Thanks!!

Robert,

Thank you for posting the tombstone photo.

As you mention in your message, you are now using a different photo program.

Find A Grave now allows photo image sizes to be as large as 8.0 MB. For some time now, I've been using a resolution of 1000 X 750 which gives a very good image size and allows the posted photo to be "zoomed in" on for better viewing of detail, but is only about 900 KB in size on my camera card.

Just letting you know that I've marked my entry as a "Cenopath". I've seen where other similar types of entries had two of them also.

Since both of us have two separate types of info or pictures added that would be a shame to lose in either case---I would say to just leave them both.
