Bio Photo Don't forget the words "Thank you".
They go a LONG way! And the words "You're welcome" don't hurt either.
Did you know? When you put in an edit and someone ignores it, the memorial will automatically edit itself in 21 days. The only way it won't is if the person declines it.

1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO dates or your name through the pictures. This is REALLY tacky!
They look awful and are SO unnecessary!! This is about them, not us.

2) No chopped off around the sides. There should be 'outdoors' around all 4 sides. I want to see what the stone looks like! Some stone pics were chopped to just show the name & date.
This looks awful, get the whole stone in the picture! Many people chop the top of the stone off...why?

3) If there's a tall stone with the info on the side, take a picture of the whole stone and then a picture of the writing.

Lloyd Smith

4) The stone picture looks best if it's taken in front of the stone, not at an angle. A trick I use to keep my reflection off the stone: I stand behind another stone and use the zoom on the camera.

5) No 'postage stamp' sized pictures. Set your
camera to take regular sized pictures.

6) Please take the time to brush the leaves and grass clippings off the stone.

It's not all about 'point and shoot' to hurry up. Take some time taking the pictures. Let's honor our dead as best as we can by taking beautiful pictures. These pictures will most likely be the only ones on the internet for generations to come!

I'll hit the public library here in Hammond and see if I can find one. I don't think they've listed them before 1939 yet so I'll pull the Hammond Times microfilm from January of '33 and see what I can find. It may take me a day or two to track it down if it exists. Wish me luck.

RE: Jessie Wright photo request at Lakewood in Minneapolis
I see her on living in Wilmar, MN and being a survivor of her husband's heart attack in 1949.

Also listed are 3 sons and 1 daughter...
Robert J. is here named Robert Jerome.

My email is displayed on my profile page... if you send me a reply, with your email address, I can send you the obituary I found for her husband... these trees also share the marriage date and various other records I may be able to look up for you!

Jessie Wright photo request at Lakewood in Minneapolis
Hi Cathy,

The life years, burial location and last name match your request and the Find A Grave memorial... however, this gravestone was found to show the first name and initial as being Mermon C.

There is another Jessie Wright also buried in Section 25, Lot 501, Grave 7 who died 5/24/1913 being 28 years old/buried next to William W. Wright who died 4/29/1929 at 32 years of age.

I just want to make sure my posted photo is the one you wanted... here is what the cemetery record shows;

Name MERMON C WRIGHT Birth 0/00/0000
Age 92 Death 7/05/1981 Disposition 7/10/1981
Place of Death
Interment CASKET
Final Disposition BURIAL
Property SECTION 21 LOT 238 GRAVE 8

Kimberly Jean Serow 111808201
Hi, Cathy,Thanks for entering Kimberly Jean Serow into findagrave. I am a family friend of the Serows.
I have just entered a record for Richard Serow (171312736). His wife Pam (67452555) and his two sons have all passed away. Richard and Pam's obituaries mention an infant daughter, Kimberly, who passed away. I am wondering if this Kimberly (111808201) is their daughter. Your entry shows this Kimberly is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Oswego, NY. This is where Richard was born. What do you think? Any way to check it out since the immediate family have all passed? Thanks for any help, Sally

Antonio Petruccelli Picture
Hi Cathy,
I just noticed that you posted a picture on my grandfather's memorial #74653564. I was curious where you obtained that photo and if you are related. I don't recognize your name as a family member.
Best Regards,
Art Petruccelli

RE: Julia Drumm
I just noticed the Alton maiden name.
If she is part of your family, would you like me to transfer her memorial?
