|After retiring from a career as a high school librarian, I started researching my family's history. I am interested in Cassells and Lehues(Virginia), Millers and Hudsons (Forsyth County, NC), Beals, Welches, Jones, Smiths and Phillips (all of Chatham and Moore Counties, NC). The Cassells are from Carroll and Wythe Counties, VA. I live in Gaston County, NC and can assist with photographs in this area.|

|Bob Carter||RE: Edna Mae Beal Dowdy|
I believe your Edna's husband (they were divorced) is this DOWDY, 114579699, right?
There is also an Edna Louise Beal (born 7 Dec 1905 in Greensboro) who married Ed James Thomas in Greensboro, NC on 28 Apr 1928, but her parents were David Edward Beal (of Chatham Co, NC) & Mattie J. Thompson (of Alamance Co, NC).
I live in Greensboro so if you need something let me know.

I'm not a DOWDY researcher, but all the data I got on the DOWDY names I sent to Ruth Dowdy-McArthur. A good bit of it came from actual birth, death, and marriage records here in Guilford County and others from FamilySearch.org. To clarify relationships of someone in your line, contact Ruth at her Find A Grave page at:

|Kathryn Ann Beal henry||beals of chatham county, NC|
I wonder if somewhere in our line, our beals are related. I've got stuck at my 4th great grandparents, james edward beal & edy hudson last known to be in gulf, chatham county in 1900. in 1850 they were living with mary beal and other beal family members in upper regiment, chatham county. I've been trying to connect his relation to john beal(b.abt 1760 d. abt 1836) & mary unknown beal(b.abt 1787 d. aft 1860). I believe this john beal is the son of thomas beal (b.bet 1740-1745 d. bet 1820-1823) and ann norris. any of these beal members sound familiar?
|Sheila Parcell||Tim Wells|
I am interested to know about the Wells information you posted on Find A Grave in Oakwood Cemetery in High Point. Would you know if he was related to Ethel Maud Wells? Her parents were James Monroe Wells out of Georgia and mother Myrtice Jewel Nolan also of GA. Ethel married a man with the last name of Beamon, she is also buried in Oakwood.
