You meet all kinds of people on Findagrave... most of whom are helpful and co-operative. Just spending a few minutes a day on Findgrave can provide a great deal of genealogical input. Thank you for your co-operation! If I can assist anyone, please contact me. |
My father, David Kennedy, was an avid genealogical researcher, so you could say, this was one of my inherited interests. He started his search in 1959 after meeting then Senator John F. Kennedy in Washington, DC. He asked my father if we were Catholic or Protestant Kennedys, after which Senator Kennedy suggested that since we were not Catholic, we must have entered the US via Northern Ireland. And the search continues...
Some of my direct lines are Kennedy, Clayton, Merritt, Head, Prothro, Crouch, Wright, Goodwin, Bledsoe, Breazeale, Smith, Guyton, Moorhead, Kirksey, Wyatt, Griffin, Richardson, Meyer, Johnston, Lott, Knox, Gaston, Barnett, Ray, Sharp, Alverson. I have been working on my genealogy since the 1990s. I always try to give credit to those who have done genealogical research ... just a very common courtesy.... Thanks y'all.

I went ahead and transferred her husband also.

I'm a little confused by your request. You mentioned that she died in Atlanta, but the memorial you created indicates she was cremated in Macon. Her ashes may not be in a cemetery. Also, the Death Certificate you put on her memorial is for Shirley Beckell Nisbet.
I'm going to Clemson on Thursday and can look at Woodlawn Cemetery to see if she is interred there. I doubt that she is. I already have photos of around 15 graves and her's isn't among them.

Fran, Can you send me Herman Ross Birth date? Thanks Darlene Ross Key
|Darlene Key||RE: Herman Ross|
Hi Fran, I'm not sure but will try to find out. There was one Herman Ross that was in Columiba SC with what was thought to be mental problems. After he died they found he had had a brain tumor. that is the story I heard may years ago. There is also a Herman Ross that died as a baby. Can't trace who he belonged to. If you are researching the Ross family let me know and maybe we could exchange information. Sorry I am just seeing this. Darlene Ross Key

I agree with what you have located on his parents and wife and have added links. I can't make out his age. Can you make out the numbers?
