Researching William Crow
I'm researching my ancestors. I so very much appreciate any information you can give me about the Crow family. My great grandfather's name was Jesse Crow Caudell (10/8/1875 - 5/31/44). aka JC Caudell. His father's name was William Benjamin Caudell (3/3/1850 - 4/23/1928. His mother was Sarah Akery (1849 - 1929). His grandfather was William David Caudell (10/21/1820 - 2/13/1908).His grandmother was Sarah Crow Caudell (1824 -1888). William Crow (unk - 6/6/1878) was his maternal great grandfather.

Alfred M. Crow
I am not related to dear young Alfred. I just had his bio from research for a talk on the social history of Jacksonville during the war. When I was growing up, Alfred's father's descendants lived a few houses away from us.

RE: Georgia Crows
Thanks for the info. To have a valley founded by Crows and named after them is better than being a descendant of King Edward III (which is what Ancestry says via Elizabeth White - if you don't take into account problems with birth dates, death dates and locations).

I have only been to Georgia once before; in 1979. I went with a Navy buddy to Okefinokee swamp. It was cool because there was a Civil War battle reenactment that day (the only one that I have ever seen). I believe it was called the Battle of Olleste. Ron
