Bio and Links
In July and August 2008 I took photos of all headstones in Idlewilde Cemetery Blocks 1 through 12, and part of Block A. I've added names using cemetery records, and have added all my available photos for those blocks. I've included birth and death places along with family links. In May 2016 I took photos of Block B-M and the Mausoleum and am adding them as I get time. I am also going through old Hood River newspapers and adding obituaries to the memorials.

I would be glad to add any links or bios, and am happy to transfer management of memorials to relatives.

I am also on the New Sweden Cemetery Maintenance District Board of Directors, and am trying to update entries for the New Sweden Cemetery.

I really don't know how to fix this, but he is not buried in Idlewilde but in Washington. I know this for fact as my husband worked with him at the time of his death and his family were good friends of my family. The Find A Grave # for him in Washington is #51882404

What a coincidence - same newspaper issue. There was a little article about the death and burial Nancy Miler, an Oregon pioneer. I have attached the link for you to review, should you care to.

Carlton Whitcomb #33855333
I too like to go through old newspapers. I use the Library of Congress website. I found an obituary for Carl Whitcomb in the Hood River Glacier of 11/16/1916. It indicates he had several more siblings than are currently associated to his memorial. I thought you might like to see it.

What is the title and date of the newspaper clipping that you attached to James Milton Craven (#24391135), please? Do you have a family interest in him? Thanks.

Thank you for finding the information on my ancestor. I see that there is no headstone, but really great information. I am wondering if you could tell me where you found it, as I'm trying to track down my genealogy. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Thank you again for putting this information on here.

RE: 58th Indiana Infantry
I am very interested in Indiana Soldiers that died during the war. I would be interested in a list if you find some that you think I might not know about.
