Bio Photo Started researching my family tree in 2012 and really wish I wouldn't have waited so long! Special thanks to my Aunt Virginia for doing all the research on my maternal side. Lines on my paternal side include Vinson, Ivey, Anderson, Nutt, Trest, Renfro, Hollingsworth, Burt and Bryant(to name only a few). My Dad is Robert Kenneth Vinson - son of Jessie Hildreth Vinson and Maggie Jewel Anderson. My Mom is Barbara Ann Weeks - daughter of Thomas Andrew Weeks and Laura Winters

William Gorman
William M. Vinson
Do you know when his second wife Rebecca Smith Watson died? I have been unable to find William M Vinson in either 1870 or 1880. He did not marry his third wife until 1892 and I cannot imagine him going spouseless for 20 years, so I believe that Rebecca may not have died until late 1880's or after 1890. In her unpublished book "Smiths of Lauderdale County, MS", Elaine Spires Smith confused William M. Vinson with William Jesse Vinson who married Lizzie Ivey on 30 Dec 1870, and thus she concluded that Rebecca Smith Watson died before that date. No record of her life or death after her marriage to William M. Vinson in 1866.

Thanks,
William "Bill" Gorman
