I grew up in Maine but have lived in California for 25 years now. My vocation is teaching world history to 7th graders. My avocation is family history, especially cemetery hopping during my annual trips back home. I love findagrave but found very little in the database for central Maine. I've been trying to rectify that from my collection and the local newspaper and funeral home. I know how excited I get when I find information here and hope that I can help others find that same thrill.
The Sitton's from chowchilla First off I would like to thank you for removing my fathers San off the site if I could ask one more thing and that would be to do the same for my brother Joshua. Thanks in advance
George W. Bolt I do believe you are correct, I have him as George Walker Bolt in both my BOLT family trees. But, in all the documents I have, he is listed as George Bolt or George W. Bolt. I do have over 30 George Washington Bolt's listed, one being my Great Grandfather.
RE: # 23695163 Charlotte Glidden Ricker My research has not proved my thinking. Benjamin although some 20 yrs senior to Charlotte, was her husband rather than her father. Everything I have found, says that Charlotte Avery marriage 1st Benj Glidden producing the Glidden Children George, Eva, Clara, and William between 1862 - 1873. Her 2nd marriage to Charles Ricker was abt 1879. The 1900 census of Lottie (nick name for Charlotte) age 60 yrs. with daughter Nellie Ricker, born abt. 1882 is likely the child of Charles and Charlotte. You have it right! Sorry for the challenge.
Sarah Spaulding # 25829420 I thought you would like to know if she is related to you - I requested a photograph of her stone last year a very kind volunteer just posted it today - She is my Grandmother - I see you are the one that made the page for her.
Charles Billings - Sedgwick Rural Cemetery I'm so sorry that I only JUST found your message with the obit for Charles Billings. Now that I know how to edit these memorials, I was able to edit his and add the obit.
