Moody Family Cemetery
I noticed that you have created memorials for the Moody Family cemetery near Hainesville. I am creating a compilation of cemeteries of Wood County and would like the exact location of this cemetery.
Thank you for this information.

Joseph Carroll
I am also a descendant of Joseph Carroll. I'm a bit confused when looking at the memorial. I do not see his name listed on either of the monuments and the one monument that does bear his name could not possibly be him since that Joseph Carroll would have been born in 1760. That birth year does not match the birth year for either Joseph Carrol Sr. or Jr. Do you know who is the Joseph Carroll in the photograph?

Mary Ann Nix
I just wanted to share with you that I'm going through my mother's old genealogy research, and I was reading an email you exchanged with her in 1997 regarding our common Nix ancestors. It was surreal to go to Fanny's memorial here and see your name on there! By the way, my mother's name is Nelda Hunt.

Gibbons Cemetery
Do you happened to know if this cemetery is sometimes referred to as the Gibbons Family Cemetery?

Thank you.

RE: Donald Raney
Gail is the owner of your "memorial". Gail is the only one that can delete it.

RE: Martin Varner's Marriage
I did not know Martin Varner had a will--I knew that Jacob Rice, his father-in-law, had one which named him and his wife. Is a copy of the will obtainable? We have nothing thus far that proves Martha Varner Baldwin was his daughter.

I will check to see with her about your book. If it were my family, I would snap it up in a heartbeat. I am working on a similar book project (William Roberts of Woodford Co., Ky., 1724-1791)in our family and it is truly a labor of love--I am doing notes and citations right now, after wrapping up the narrative. It's a project years in the making.

Thank you so much for your help. Yours is a fascinating family--and the little I have seen about the younger Martin Varner sounds intriguing. I read about the depredations by the Comanches in Texas that went on for so long. What tough people the pioneers were.

If you want we can carry on the conversation by email. I am at, and live in Illinois.

RE: Martin Varner's Marriage
I am doing research for a descendant, and I noticed the date. Thanks for fixing it. I hear of a bible that names Martha Varner a daughter of Martin Varner and Elizabeth Reich. Do you know of it? It seems several hands removed from being published.
