Is it acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living?
Please try to avoid it. In general, we do not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Memorials for individuals who are alive will be removed when requested (the exception being for 'famous' individuals who already have a burial location in place). You are always welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself, if you would like, provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery. Given these exceptions, a memorial created after death will be preferred over a pre-need memorial.

Checking for duplicates
I ALWAYS check before I create. Sometimes they do not show up, especially when members purposely create a burial unknown, JUST to increase their numbers, J Thacker.

B/4 Death
Do not create memorials before death, unless for yourself. Memorials created after death will be preferred over ones created before death.

Kelly & Connie Byrd
I have sent a message to findagrave to merge the two memorials since mine has all the info and the other has photos. The original will continue to maintain, as I am sure you are aware.

Thanks for catching this.

RE: Duplicated Memorial
I think I noticed that a while back. Oh well, I just sent him a message about it. I want to keep mine up because Raymond DeJohn and my dad were brothers and were killed together in an auto accident. I should of just wrote because this is my family. But Uncle Raymond was special to me.

Evelyn's death certificate gives Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Nueces, TX, as her burial place - probably Jackson Hamilton Scholl's burial was there also, but I'm not sure.

RE: Emma
Thank you for putting her in the correct cemetery. Liberty Community Cemetery was also known as Liberty Cemetery, which is probably what the death certificate said. I do have her headstone on her memorial now. Thank you again.
