I'm a 30-year-old archaeologist. I've been researching my family history for years, probably since middle school, but a lot of my family lived in the Midwest, so I've never been able to visit their graves.|
I've been working on photographing and entering all the headstones from Weston Cemetery in Weston, Oregon. Even for a small cemetery, it's quite the process.
Please use the edit tab to submit corrections regarding any of my entries.
Please note that I am not an employee of any cemetery. I am a volunteer attempting to photo document an entire cemetery. Maintenance of headstones beyond the clearing away of grass and debris is beyond the scope of my efforts. If you have a problem with cemetery maintenance, please contact the cemetery sexton.
As per the Find A Grave FAQ, "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer. You may certainly request the transfer of memorials beyond the four generations, but the original contributor may choose not to transfer (the original contributor should make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses). Bulk surname requests should not be made."

Would it be possible for you to change my grandmother's listing? Her name was Minnie Myrtle Brown Campbell, not Minnie Myrtle Campbell Brown. when I had the tombstone made the company representative recommended that it be inscribed as is since we do not have exact location of family members in the lot.
Thank you very much, I know it is a bit confusing to an observer.
|Janet Davis||RE: Charlie & Belle Roley|
Thank you. They were great people. Have you done any research on Belle's family?
Best to you.

Hi Amy - I see that you added a picture of Charles and Belle Roley to their Findagrave page. Are you related to them? Belle was my father's cousin. Just wondering which family line you are researching.

|hbryson1||Headstone Photos at Weston Cemetery|
Hello, my name is Hal Bryson, and I'm writing to ask if I may have your permission to use several of your Find a Grave headstone photos in my Ancestry.com family tree. I think that the headstones are a useful addition to family trees and I would like to include them.
Please let me know. Thanks!

|Angela Andrew||Memorial # 53326688|
Good Morning Amy;
In 2011 you transferred this memorial to me. And I did send you another email asking you what the other inscription was on the headstone.
The other inscription is memorial # 53326613 who happens to be her son. I am wondering if you could transfer that memorial also. My number is 47594425.
Also, can I use your picture of the headstone?
I know this seems to have taken a very long time, but I have finally found every member of this family. Both of Ernest's parents died very young and orphaned four young children. The children were then raised by John McLean's sister.
It was because of your headstone that I initially found the entire family and corrected some very big errors in their whole story.
